There's no left over money. A staff can be paid whatever. Just cause they were willing to pay 1.5m to Diaz and he left doesn't mean that's the amount that's left. A staff's budget is determined by how much the university values winning. I. E. Bama, Clemson who will pay multiple coordinators 1m plus to keep them. So Richt does have a coaching spot open as each team can carry 10. If they were all about winning they would go pay a top notch OC 1m plus but, as we know Richt feels that his offense has worked for 30yrs and the only thing that needs to change is the execution.
