LeBron signs with Philly for 2 years $8mil….

Its not about the money for Lebron at this stage in his career. He openly said that so this should not a surprise. None of the teams recruiting him were gonna offer the max

I'm not disputing what you said. However, if it's not about money at this stage, what is it about? Surely not legacy as his candle has burned far too much to undo all the flopping, team swapping, nepotism, and ego that will preceed anything he might accomplish in Philly. My personal guess? I think he and Embiid have a wager to see who can miss more games.

This feels like when Brett Favre couldn't take a hint that it was time to call it a career.

Yeah you right it's about chasing the ghost of MJ.....but what doesn't understand is he can win 3 more chips and he still won't be the GOAT.

At this point he wants to control all narratives.

He averaged 20 and 6 and 7 last year and played in 71, 70 and 60 games in the past three seasons. I am not even a big LeBron stan but this take is no bueno.
 
Bron and Jaylen the only killers I see on that roster. Talent dont mean **** once them playoff lights come on. Everybody has talent at that point.

Embiid? Maxey?

Be fr. Knicks still favorites by a considerable margin imo.

I'm glad you focused on the line about missing games because that was certainly not my main point. It was more of a shot at Embiid. Want to know my main point? I think LeBron is a dicc. Maybe I should've just said that.

But if you want to talk about the games he played the last three seasons, that's fine. Let's do some math though because there are 82 games in a season. Using your numbers, he missed 11, 12 and 22 games the last three years (45 games over three years or 18+% of the games). Embiid on the other hand has never played more than 68 and averages about 41-42 games played per year. My take is bueno. Calmate amigo.

Maybe I’m exaggerating but I’m glad the NYK won the title because he would be going to NY to take full credit on restoring the Knicks.

Knicks probably don’t win again for another 50 years but happy asf he ain’t going to NY

I moved from SoFla to LA the same year LeBron came to the Lakers. I was like “I can’t get away from this MF” but I quickly learned that most people in Los Angeles actually didn’t like him and now no one is really sad to see him leave. It really made me endear myself to this city. To quote Huey Lewis, I love LA!!

Guy has all the money in the world.

Joining Philly, to me, sounds like he wants the best chance at winning another ring, on a team that he can feel like he makes the difference, opposed to joining a squad that has already won without him (NYK). I think he wanted out of the west too.

Miami would have been fun to watch, but I think Philly gives him a better chance at winning this upcoming year.

I assume he considered Cleveland, and maybe the delay/hold up was they were trying to get a deal for Kyrie or AD. Idk though.
