I don't know about all that but I do think UCF would give us a game. If 3-9 UNC, 6-6 UVa, 5-6 GT, 4-8 Syracuse and Toledo to some degree can give us a game then why can't 12-0 UCF? Nothing I saw this year gave me the impression we would smoke UCF at least on a neutral field.

So, if a team plays 12 garbage squads and goes undefeated, then they should be in? That's flawed logic, and rewards mediocrity. UCF plays in a mediocre conference, and didn't even have a OOC win worth a ****. Compare their OOC slate to what Houston had last year. If Houston would have gone undefeated with their schedule, they would have been a playoff team, because they would have PROVEN their worth by beating elite P5 teams.

Of course BUT this committee crap is getting to the point where the results on the field don't matter. Why is bama in? They didn't even win their division. How about OSU last year? They have taken the light off results and placed it on perception. If the only teams that matter are those in the power 5 then ONLY the winners of those conferences should be considered. My Lord, look at what it took for even WI to get in the top four. Why? If that conference is so weak that being undefeated in it doesn't merit being ranked ahead of the teams that already proved they were beatable then why should OSU that got its a$$ whipped bad by Iowa be thought of as good-- if that conference sucks for WI it sucks for OSU. Bama and UGA loss to a THREE loss team. What the heck are they doing in the playoffs?

In today's system, Miami would never have gotten to play NE and never won its first NC and never been THE U! And that is why we have this set up. The conferences want to make sure NOBODY ever does what we did again. It took them over 20 years and many steps to recover from us and they will not let that happen again. Listen, I could not care less about UCF. And sure they would get their a$$es killed, but they earned the right too take that beating. Houston did not earn it, they loss.

Why bother to risk kids' bodies, just have the committee get together in August and pick the winner or at least the 5 or 6 teams they will even consider. There needs to be a price for loosing. NE had the same record that first year and was considered the greatest team ever. They loss on a failed 2 point conversion. They would have tied and taken home the title. There was talk they should remain number one! Should that be how it happened? The little guys should get their shot is what I am saying.

UCF is 13-0 in D1 football. That should be worth a spot. If a perfect season isn't good enough to earn a spot simply because it's not a Power 5 team and, therefore didn't play a Power 5 schedule, the the NCAA and the CFP Committee need to inform the Group of 5 that they aren't being given equal recognition because they are not on an equal playing field as the P5, and just go ahead and separate the two because the net effect of leaving out UCF is treating the G5 and the P5 like separate divisions anyway.
