LBs still a weakness?

It felt like Toure had more splash plays with his hand in the ground than he did when he was in coverage. Plus the big wiff that almost cost Miami the win.

Will be interesting to see more teams take that quick screen approach like ND did early vs Miami when they gameplan

Other than Toure losing that TE on their tying drive, I thought they played pretty well. We are one step slow like some mentioned, but definitely an improvement

Very Solid last night but the lack of a speed guy will hurt us down the road.

It could also have been the field conditions. I am glad they played balanced and smart. Linebackers looked like linebackers.

Semper Canes!!!

Didn't like the inability to affect the qb draw. Popo whiffed on one big time. Followed the back and completely ignored Carr and it was a crucial 3rd down. I dont think Popos instincts are there to really be a big time player. Hoping Kellen Wiley has a chance to move up the depth chart the next two weeks. I was surprised he wasn't on the field more with all the hype outta camp. Overall still didn't feel like our LBs were difference makers, same for the safeties.

As it stands this team would be a national title favorite if we had three more elite players . One at LB, S, and a true game breaker with elite speed and power on offense. We may have that in Lyle or Toney Or Trader but just didn't see last tonight

They got gassed at the end there, but overall I thought they had a good day. Their job was to stop the run, and they did just that

Need to stop playing so much Quarters coverage so these LB's can tuck into the box and focus on the run.

Toure spent 75% of the game lined-up just inside of the slot WR.

That's a light box, asking for QB run. 🤷🏻‍♂️
We even did this inside the 10 yard line on one of their TD's.

they played decently enough. But we need Wiley to develop. He is a potential game changer at LB for us. Just young
