  • Jefferson (6-2, 225) landed a Miami offer on Tuesday when Coach Carroll visited his school
  • Says he kind of knew a little bit in advance about his offer by talking to Miami coaches...says they're not going to message you on Twitter and try to set up a relationship without having a lot of interest...says they came by to meet with his coach and clarify that he had been offered by Miami...says now is the time for him to evaluate their school more
  • Says it's just Miami, he thinks they’re on the rise towards something great...says many of the top linebackers have played for them, look at Ray Lewis, one of the greatest ever right there...says it's always a plus when a school has that kind of proof about themselves and what they’ve accomplished
  • Says he's matured with this process, every offer now is business...he hasn't really made any plans for what he's going to do...his only plan is to take it slow and see where things end up...whenever the time comes for him to choose a school, then that will be the day
  • Says this cycle has been very calm, last year was actually a lot worse...he was was younger and he didn’t know what he was doing at the time...says now these coaches are so patient with him in terms of calling them back...says they let him pick out the best times to have those conversations and he really appreciates it
  • Jefferson had 83 tackles, 13 for loss, and 12 sacks as a junior
  • Says he's all about the best fit and where he'll get treated the same as everybody else...he's looking for somebody who’s in it to coach him up and get him better...he's very excited to learn about life outside of football as well...says staying close by would be beautiful but he thinks he could explore what’s out there...as long as he can see himself there for four years, then he's gone
  • Jefferson carries a grade of 98 from 247Sports, ranking him 16th overall in the nation, 3rd at his position, and 1st overall in Texas
  • Goes to the same school as ATH DeAndre McNeal

Token offer. Can't say you didn't offer the top OLB in the country.

I'm not even gonna waste my time any longer talking about this dude.

Yea seems like a reach, but some people would probably start complaining when we didn't recruit him.

WE ARE THE ALMIGHTY AND POWERFUL U. Recruits should commit upon receiving an offer!
