so youre a sexist *******. got it.

I want to be very pinpoint here.

There are a lot of women who are very knowledgeable about sports, generally, though there are probably fewer who are great at football analysis, just on a statistical and experiential basis. So many commentators in football are people (guys) who have played the game, so it skews the statistics in such a way that there are very few female football commentators.

Having said that, we also have had the more recent phenomenon of female sports reporters/commentators being hired...SEEMINGLY...more for their good looks than for their insightful analysis. And don't get me wrong, it's possible to have the total package, but it's not a guarantee.

The short version of that windup is that we do sometimes experience the "very attractive sports commentator" who is given a lot more credibility for bad opinions (based on current job and job title) than is truly earned. It happens.

LSU FSU play week 1 right? both in the top 10? its not unfathomable to say one of those 2 teams can be ranked 1 after a top 10 matchup in Orlando (virtual FSU home game). they may not be ranked 1 all year but for a week esp when rankings dont matter at all until the middle of the year. I could see either being ranked 1 for a week and then dropped down the week after (esp since they have FSU Clemson in September this year and ESPN really wants a top 5 matchup there.

Yes, but that also plays into scarcity. Just because there is only ONE Top 10 matchup that week does not mean the "winner" should be shortlisted for #1.

There was a reason OTHER schools got voted ahead of F$U and LSU. You shouldn't have to play a Top 10 team in Week 1 just to hold your spot.

Of course, I've also argued that there should be NO RANKINGS AT ALL until October, but I'm way to smart/logical to be put in charge of college football, I would steal the ability for these ****** networks to overhype the September games with meaningless pre-season rankings.
