Latrell Williams

There are like 10 kids in south Florida that are 4 star or better, wtf you wanna take some unranked kid?

Take Bruce, Richsrds, Mullen, and if you want more then take Ridley, Vitor, Snelson, etc etc

This is the kind of take that leads to 7 win seasons in the coastal IMO
just because they're ranked in the top 300 prospect list on 5 billion different recruiting sites doesn't mean they're better than a 3* or 2*. The coaches find out what kind of person they are and what's they're work ethic like during this whole process and weigh that just as much as they weigh their perceived talent and sometimes those 3* and 2* turn into players like Santana moss.

How many 2-stars does Alabama take in each class? How many 4/5 stars?

I don't think anyone is saying that this kid should be above Bruce, Richards, Mullen, Pie, Mullins, Victor, etc. on the board. The recruiting services don't identify and accurately rank every kid out there. Half the time those services don't even see these kids play in an actual football game. There's plenty of kids every year that are coming back from injury, moved states, or don't hit the camps or 7on7 circuits, etc. This kid may have been overlooked due to his size or any number of other reasons. But no one can teach the kind of speed and burst this kid shows in his tape!

Exactly, oh and to answer your question Alabama is taking on 7 3* stars this year btw

Elite speed:

"He is a tremendous track athlete...this year recorded the following....55m--6.55 (national elite -6.62 )100m--10.75(national elite-10.80) triple jump 45-2 (national elite -45-0), long jump 21-7(national elite- 22-0), 200m--22.08 (national elite- 22.0)."

This was from USF board. Also, finished higher than Adrian Killins in the State Track finals.

We need to get back to recruiting kids that can play football and have eliteSPEED.

Latrell Williams is one of the fastest kids in the state.

2015 100 Meter Track Times of Noteable HS Football Players Fpr Comparison

Chauncey Gardner 10.33 (really sucks we missed on this kid...he will be elite)
Adrian Killins 10.55
Torrance Gibson 10.59
Amir Rasul 10.74
Tre Nixon 10.77
Latrell Williams 10.83
Eddie McDoom 10.85
Malek Young 10.95
Tyler Byrd 11.03

Malek Young Young and Tyler Byrd have the type of speed necessary to become elite.

Would love to add Latrell Williams and Amir Rasul.

With a QB wearing the #33 , I'm sure a lot of receivers would go under the radar. I'm sure the staff will evaluate him properly. We do need speed again

Senior Stats

63 catches
1035 yards
10 TD

Eilte speed, off the charts production......the "sites" miss kids sometimes. This is one of them.

Last I checked we're called canes not crimson tide. Bama needs to load up with 4/5 stars. We just need to load up with elite TALENT from Florida no matter the stars and cherry pick talent from timbuktu and we'll be alright. We have a coach now. Buck up Bart buck up!!!!

Doesn't have the make t them miss in a phone booth ability that Bruce does. But has much better straight line speed I'd like both but would be happy with either guy

The recruiting sites are subscription driven. The are going to rank the kids higher mostly off the teams that have offered and who has the biggest fan base. The intent is to build excitement for the larger fan pool and sell more subscriptions. When are you star whores going to wise up.

Agreed. Rivals ranks kids high based on how they perform in Rivals Camps and who they know have offered the kid last criteria is actual tape which is the reason that you should not go by Rivals Rankings all the time.

I have noticed that kids in S.FL are far advanced in working the circuit Rivals,7v7 stuff etc. to go along with there ability. There are kids from Jax , Lake City, and other areas down I-10 not as much . There are some players "hidden" because they don't play 7v7 or work the camp circuit but they are players and good recruiters add these hidden gems along with the name brand kids..

For example there is a kid up my way Willie Wright ATH arguably the most exciting player in the area

willie wright - Hudl

That only certain schools know about. Why because he doesn't play 7v7 or work the circuit because he runs track during the summer when kids are at these camps.

But hands down one of the better players in Northern FL on a team with a lot D-1 players in class of 2016 (Note: Mike Pinckney was his teammate) he's a 2017 kid..

Id take him over bruce imo

I was about to praise this kid but you're taking it too far lol. Here's what I will say stars are great but elite speed is always something you watch. That's what made us great and if you get that one speed demon a year you ******* take him because that's something teams can't defend and I want that here
