P4 players all over IMG’s defense

Smith and Ohio State 4-star tailback commit Elijah Newman-Hall would add scores before halftime, giving IMG Academy a commanding 28-3 lead. NFL Academy, however, would not go down without a fight as they answered in the third quarter with a pair of touchdowns from running back Nathan Morris and quarterback Diego Tamez to make it 31-17 through three.

Tamez would connect on back-to-back touchdowns with tight end Devon Myrie to take a 32-31 lead with just over six minutes left in the game. IMG Academy would regain the lead with just over three minutes when Wade scored on a quarterback sneak plus a 2-point conversion to go ahead 39-32.

NFL Academy would retake the lead at 40-39, but the Ascenders would drive down the field and eventually Brien would be in position to knock down the game-winning kick from 28 yards out.

Pretty incredible a kid can catch 3 TDs against IMG the past two years and Eastern Michigan is the only school to take him lol.
