Those Bowl predictions weren’t Pate’s, that was another 247 writer Brad Crawford

And also I think (not positive) that those NY6 games, if your conference has a playoff team taken, then your bowl has to take the next highest ranked team.

It's possible somehow Miami and NC State both finish 10-2, Miami loses in Charlotte to drop to 10-3 (and obviously drop in the polls), and NC State is ranked higher in the final playoff committee poll and they'd get the NY6 bid.

That’s true...

But NC ST isn’t going 10-2 anyway lol

It's NC State, so yes, they'll somehow fall short of expectations, but I wouldn't be so sure about writing 10 wins off. You see their non-conference?

@ ECU
Charleston Southern
Texas Tech
UConn

They get VT, at Carter-Finley, for their Coastal cross-over.

I could see 10-2. Loss to Clemson, @ UNC at the end of the year will be tough, and they do play at Louisville. 9-3 most likely but 10-2 is possible.

Their RSW number at Draftkings is 8.5, but -160 on the over. I wouldn't touch that but I'd be somewhat surprised if they lost 4.

The highest recruiting class they’ve had in the last 5 years was 26th back in 2018 & that’s the class that had Leary & most of their Red Juniors/Seniors currently on the roster, everything else after that has been 28, 43, 37 & 72.

They lost Ikem Ekwonu, their top 2 RB’s & their best WR & they didn’t replace them with any commensurate talent that warrants all the hype they’re getting. Their Defense is pretty regular as well, at best slightly above average.

Aside from Leary, they don’t really have any spectacular players, they have a bunch of guys who fit their system well & that can correspond to good success on the field, but aside from that, there’s nothing that sets their roster far apart from the rest of the conference that makes them a legitimate 10-2 candidate.

Some of those penciled in Wins, I guarantee will not be Wins...

They come back to Earth this season.

he has a fantastic show overall. just because you might not agree with everything he says doesn't make it a bad listen. he's prepared and talks about all teams and is pretty unbiased overall. Crain and Co. is another fantastic listen but it's more than college football eventhough it's what they focus on the most.
Agreed. He’s one of the better college football talking heads out there.

Utah will run the conference and smack usc. Usc will score but they’re soft. Need to build their lines and their defense is suspect. Utah put up 40 on taint
I’m not as big a believer in Utah as everybody else is...
