Last time we played an Everett golson lead team

Such a huge opportunity that game was...for so many reasons. That sad disappointed feeling has been felt soooo many times its now turned to apathy.
 
Only thing I remember that hurt is in the second half nd ran the same run lay for an entire drive for about 80 yards. We ran the same play on defense. It was 5-10 yards every play. No pass, no counter, option....just straight up the middle like they were trying to rum the clock out, and we couldn't stop that

No way in hades that a game plan like that is utilized Sat against the Holes. The above is not what this defense has been trained to do during Golden's tenure here. The above would be an example of rising to the occasion and we just can't have that here at UM. Come Saturday night this defense will fall back on it's training and on it's heels. We will play a very soft zone to try and prevent a mistake prone and mediocre passer from beating us through the air.


While doing so we will allow Golson and the Holes to methodically march down the field by running the ball at will. Golden/Donofrio will love this as it keeps in line with their philosophy of conceding yards and first downs while not allowing an explosive pass play for a score. We will just sit there a watch FSU's pedestrian offense efficiently execute high percentage plays on their way to the end zone while we wait for a bad snap, a fumble or a drop on 3rd down to stall them.
