Last play (PI) need help

24 was making a play for the ball and 1 made the contact to start the mutual contact at the end. No way in the world that is PI when 24 had his head turn the last 20 yards watching the ball. He has just as much right to catch the ball as the WR.

Now the refs did have a little bias towards miss so I think as concerned.
This! As you correctly stated, O'Connor is looking at the ball, while Stribling is clutching, grabbing, and flopping!

Someone posted another angle clip showing the WR maul the DB at first. Cant find it. Link please.

I live in Gator/Nole country and the gym guys are all saying we were gifted the game. (I’m being petty)
Sorry, you need to consider relocating.

Correct his head was turned looking up at the ball while being pushed as well by the WR. Good no call

Who cares? F ‘em. The only people complaining about that job-call never got closer than 3rd string in any sport. The Ole Miss booster I know said, “great game, you guys were better.”

Go Canes!

Why bother? Just laugh and say enjoy watching us in the Natty.
I want to dunk on them in their face & then say that.

Looking for this response as I walk off..

It wasn't PI but there was no way in **** the officials were going to call PI on Miami on the final play again.

I gotta admit, one thing that I did NOT foresee coming out of this playoff run is that I would come away from it with a newfound respect for Pete Golding. How he kept his team together and had them competing the way they did with all the Kiffin distractions, AWOL coaching staff, etc., is nothing short of amazing. And then, to top it off, he made no excuses for the loss and refused to whine about how the final play should’ve been flagged. Impressive.

He may have just caught lightning in a bottle for a few weeks and may well end up being a flop as a HC and get fired in a couple of years. But for right now, I have to tip my hat to him. Never would’ve seen that coming.

I think they will reap the benefit of this in future years. I had a friend argue that Ole Miss was cutting off their nose to spite their face by not letting Kiffin coach in the playoffs. I disagreed, but now am more confident in my position. I think the playoff run really helped them form their own post-kiffin identify, showed they could compete without him, and possibly took some of the mystique away from him as a coach.

Contrast that with the leadership standard Norvell set at FSU when they got left out of the playoff, or even how Notre Dame reacted this year. We all know what's happened to FSU since that point. We will see if it hurts Notre Dame. I think Ole Miss emerged about as well as they possibly could have given teh circumstances.
