Last play (PI) need help

Anyone that plays ball or at least watches ball knows that you have to absolutely get mauled on a Hail Mary play to get a penalty. I’ve been watching football for a long time and I’ve literally never seen a a pass interference on a Hail Mary play. Even Golding said in the press conference, they never make that call.

Broadcast rules analyst was asked about it and he said 99% of the time PI is not called on hail Mary’s as both offensive and defensive players are hand fighting so they let it go. Has to be very egregious for them to call PI.

does anyone have any clips of Bain getting absolutley mangled on some of their bigger plays in the 3rd and 4th? Was screaming at the TV.
In addition to that, their DBs were mauling our WRs all day and IIRC the only call we got was when they grabbed Marion’s facemask and turned his head so he couldn’t find the ball.

Edit: we did also get the call when the edge got there about 5 minutes early on the dump off to Fletch, which was like a 3-yard penalty.

Refs were horrifically inconsistent on PI in particular. They let Graves rape our WRs all game and we only got 1, but they called the Jaboree one on weak contact.

If you are calling contact you throw DPI and Hands to the face. But then we also get 10 DPI off graves alone.

Zebras couldn’t find consistency at all. That’s the issue, pick a lane and stick to it.

If the defensive PI would have been called in the end zone then the ball would have been spotted at the 2 yard line
college rules is 15 yard penalty so instead of being on the 36 yard line, would be at the 21 and still need a long pass. Only placed at the 2 if prior play is inside of the 15 yard line. I wish people on this site actually knew the rules of college football.
