If you don’t get a different feel from this team I’m not sure what to say. This is a game we routinely lose in previous years and we pulled away and won by19.

I’d like to think it was a combination of wet weather, a good Florida defense, and the off day by Beck. I didn’t help that the new Center decided to have a bad day as well. I’d like to think under normal circumstances Miami would score at least 10 points on those three possessions that started in gator territory.

Officials also decided to take away a long touchdown run that would’ve put Miami ahead 20-0. Egregiously bad call. Momentum changing.

There is plenty of work to do. You’re correct. I’d like to see Dawson’s adjustments to what isn’t working be more than shut down the passing game and rely on the “Push the Pile” offense. Need to see more variety.

This game is waaaaaay different IF:
1) Brcokermeyer doesn't singlehandedly stall two potential touchdown drives.
2) Refs don't blatantly take 7 off the board

End of the day we dominated and won by 19. Nothing else needs to be said

OP's expressing a concern about a characteristic that could derail a CONTENDING team. Legitimate point. If UF wasn't absolutely inept offensively, and that FACT doesn't detract from a great defensive effort, the outcome could have been different. To dominate for the first 2 1/2 quarters, yet be in a one score game late should concern the staff. Yes, we have the Marty Brown quick whistle, but these things can happen. Especially with ACC officials. Yes, I know this was an SEC crew.

The weather was bad, but I'm personally concerned about Beck's performance. Will he come through against top-level competition?
And the coaching staff getting conservative cracked the door for ND. As well as the defensive interior wearing down. All these points don't make the case that we suck. They're concerns of areas that could derail a legitimate contender. That's who we are. A legitimate contender. And that's a good thing. I'd imagine the staff is well aware, and at work.

DL trickery or just loss of focus by C?
 
Just glad for the rivalry win. These games are usually always not what we expect. Honestly, this game should have been a 40-7 game were it not for that **** show by the refs and Mr. Snap Infraction. Were it so, nobody would be ****ting on our performance.

Not whining to refs...but isn't that "illegal" for DL to do?

I also thought DL got away with 2 "sharp movements" that caused false starts as well...

USF is a team known for teaching that (to their DL) correct???
