I actually appreciate this thread. A lot of people are fond of throwing out that our former players do absolutely nothing when they leave here without any context. People just accept them at their word. This could be a thread that proves such statements as true or not.

I did watch a lot of that game. Knighton is the same dude. Running right into tacklers instead of trying to avoid contact. He’s their #2 running back. Their starter ran for 130 and 9 ypc (Lashlee has no run game!) Key Smith had 2 for 44. 10 different receivers caught passes against Louisiana Tech. Their leading receiver was Russell Maryland’s kid. Elijah Roberts and Jordan Miller were difference makers. They had garbage defense last year but they looked good yesterday. The game was 31-0 at halftime so take the stats with a grain of salt.

I looked at SMU's depth chart and saw that Jakai is a second-string guard. I will admit it. I did not understand how bad last year's O-line was until I saw this year's line play against M-Oh. Campbell was the best O-lineman, and even he faked an injury to avoid playing FSU. Our starting center is a G5 back-up guard. I get it now.

I always liked Jordan Miller. He didn't get the numbers, but he forced plays to go another direction. It's not always about stats.
