Why no? People are seriously considering Ed Reed as HC.. So why not Larry Scott??

People on this website and other social medias.. regular ole Miami fans like you and I...

Definitely no as far as HC goes. Definitely would like to keep the guy on the staff as a coordinator or positional coach again.

If he wins out, ok. Totally good with it. But it's been one game; this is like a Tom Herman sample. Keep it up Scott
Make it insanity to get rid of you. You're off to a legendary start. Hats off to ya!

No! That would mean CoRley and NoD'nofrio sticking around. I like Scott, but not that much.

I like Scott's emotion. I think he can influence many players with his enthusiasm. He can probably win their loyalty and their attention. But, he is not the HC that Miami needs. UM needs a big-time coach in name and accomplishment. That means someone who knows the ins and outs of the college football business, from recruiting, to buttering the donors, to putting the university on a football-first mentality. That coach might be an x-and-o genius, but his best qualities are to recognize talent in players and in assistant coaches, and then to organize them with one purpose in mind: winning a NC. Scott is a good guy and might earn himself a job under the new HC, but he doesn't have the experience to handle the complete reorganization of Cane football that is required. He also doesn't seem to have the necessary amount of SOB quality that will be needed to revive the program.

Please stop it.

Dan Campbell and Larry Scott can go be position coaches at Old Dominion or Incarnate Word next season if they're lucky.

Bunch of shlebs.

I don't have an issue keeping Larry Scott around as an assist OC or something like that... but as head coach of a Miami football team with a top recruiting class and a solid chance at dominating the ACC for years to come if they get a coach who can do big things? Naw, I'm good b.

There should be a minimum porst count before being able to start a thread.

Agree that was a dumb statement by the OP but please don't turn into one of those places that thinks people who have a low post count are less of a fan or don't have a right to comment on anything.
