Two Coaches who were great here who Diaz should think about bringing back.
Larry Scott is a great special teams and TE coach but he played OL in college and i could see him revamping this unit like it was under his tenure

Hurlie brown was a Great recruiter at LB and Defense and Really coached up those LB and DB’s he recruited. Most of the DB’s we have playing in the NFL were recruited by him

I stated this awhile ago in @Ethnicsands Post... Linebacker!

IMO...

the fall came when former coach MARK RICHT let go the last staff member in the previous regime - A good friend of mine and family . Coach " Hurlie Brown" Who at the time had LB's playing at its highest level. Helped develop D. Perryman Before making a switch to Rb position. He was a monsta on the recruiting trail and was a great closer. If i don't recall our last highly regarded star studied Lb core. Shaq, Pickney, Mccloud it wasn't Dorito's. From there it has drop significantly recruiting and on the field.

South Florida / North Fla/ Central Communities were upset that this happen. We all thought if anything he or Larry Scott would be able to stay but the cards did not work in their favor.

Scott was good.

i don’t recall much about Hurlie. I would hesitate to bring back anyone that coached under NoD.
You have to remember from a recruiting stand point Hurlie brown did not miss on talent going all the way back to getting Jermain Grace to A three star Rayshawn Jenkins, redwine who nobody really wasn’t recruiting. He coached our LB under Golden which underperformed from a scheme point but never from a talent point

A little story.....

This man had relationships from all over Florida high schools programs that some head coaches didn't want their kids going to Univ of MIAMI at the time they saw a sinking ship by Al Golden but since he was on staff and the relationship had with him they allowed their kids to attend and play for us . TRUE STORY!
I remember when they showed a video of them at the recruiting table and he challenge the whole staff on tape about giving out offers to guys...."You all offering recruits all over but Is he Miami kid" -Classic! lol

The only thing bro. He has the full reigns at his high school Alma Mater. He's a Head Coach now and is like an ambassador to the whole sports program there basically like an AD. Program back to it's winning ways at M.I.H.S.. Just bought a beautiful new house living off the rivers, raising his sons. Basically sounds like a retire married life but who knows money talks and anything can happen? If he was to come back the university of Miami will probably will have to up the salary from his previous statue when he here.

Give him a title of Recruiting Coordinator/Lb Coach then something may be boiling with the Gumbo.

Good Post bro! Go Canes !!!

Larry Scott is a good dude. Nice, personable. He did solid work here when he was the temp head coach.

He's a guy that I wasn't sure why we let go. But the guy that followed him was a better recruiter (name escapes me), so it actually worked.

He's a name I would keep on file for the off chance we need to replace the TE coach.
