Larry Blustein top 100 for 2016

The key to 2016 will be the administration having some **** forethought. Get everything in place and ready to go as soon as the clock hits 0 in the last game, Golden packs his office. Have the feelers and a discrete search team with a list already narrowed down. Put the calls out, see who bites. Get a staff hired ASAP. Hopefully the new HC keeps one or two guys from the current staff on board, Ice, Coley, or Hurlie, just to have a tie in to the local scene, til they get to know the lay of the land, help keep as many recruits on board as possible, some continuity, etc. Keeping one or a couple of the local guys, like Ice, Hurlie or Coley will help with the local kids, generate some buzz, and they can form the backbone of the 2016 class for the new staff, hopefully keeping at least a few of our top commits. Allison being the key.

Why wait til the last game to make the announcement? If we start slow and sit at or below .500 after 6 games, make the announcement then. Gives enough time to start the search and make the hire official once the season ends in late Nov.

Cool. So approximately 25% of the top 20 are a skateboard ride away from campus.

I see us 5-1 after six games. The challenge for Golden has always been keeping the team focused after they face adversity. So after they lose to Clemson to go to 5-2, it's what happens next that will ultimately seal Golden's future.

10-31 at Duke
11-7 UVA
11-14 at UNC
11-21 GT
11-27 at Pitt

A good coach runs the table and finishes 10-2. An average coach loses just one of the five. A bad coach loses two or more from the remaining five games...

Really, what did you predict our record would be for 2014?

He's got Dredrick Snelson rated a lot lower than most (rivals, Espn, 247). Anyone who regularly studies WR tape in depth, including his, have any thoughts? Too low or no? GEO?

Snelson too low. Should be top 10.

I really think the staff should be on #16 Shemar Smith hard. DE from Miami Jackson. 6'2" 220. Has a Temple offer that I know of. First team All-Dade this past season.

I think he got Snelson's rating right. Snelson needs to develop better route running and not just round his routes but instead make sharp cuts. He also needs to take less time in and out of his cuts. That is what separates him from bruce and mullins although Snelson has a good size to speed ratio. Snelson is also a good blocker but once he cleans up his route running and he is consistently making catches he will move into the top ten.
