Larrañaga might get suspended for this

Coach l having success despit miami not being known as a b-ball and using the cloud excuse. The exact opposite of his sorry *** counterpart Al lusion.

Let's just admit it. We're a basketball school now.

I LOVE what Coach L is doing, but

We have never gotten past the sweet 16.
We are a football/baseball school.

But what he has done is,

Win ACC regular season ship
Win ACC conference tourney
Beat all the top teams in his conference
Get his team to #2 in the country, (possibly #1, can't remember)
Win at a school that's not known to be a great high school basketball area

Which is more than the football or baseball teams have done since he arrived

Don't forget beating ranked teams...

How bout a future hall of fame coach?

I really don't get this post. Why can't you have all?

It seems the key to success is "good coaching."

The reason we're not doing well in football (mostly) is due to our coaching. We're recruiting better than almost everyone we play; we just fail to have success on game day.

We brought in Coach L (underrated and elite coach) and in his second year we won the ACC and we're ranked #2 (maybe hit #1). He did it with a group of players recruited by his Haith (except Larkin). The key factor is "good coaching."
The point I think is to say Miami brought traditional college football into a new area during the 80s. We started the flair and dominated while doing it.

We have no tradition in basketball but that's not stopping coach l. What can he really tell a recruit to come here besides the beach and weather.

All golden makes everyone mad because he has the easiest college coaching job. The top recruits literally are at max a hundred miles away from campus. He fails to get the best and struggles to keep them once on board. All you have to do no is coach simple!
The excuses don't make sense. Let me put it in this manner could you imagine what Meyer,Saban, or Jimbo would do down here?

How about you can play for an elite coach who develops talent and sends kids to the NBA? How about play in our OWN stadium on campus?

His point is bad because it is irrelevant. It isn't good football or good basketball.

The hoops team has everything going good right now while the football team is just bad. An on campus arena, an elite coach, beating ranked, elite teams, national ranking and playing in the top basketball conference in the country. Meanwhile, football has no stadium of its own, one of the worst head coaches in football, nowhere near a national ranking, completely unable to beat top teams, and recruiting sinking fast. It's almost comical in how the two are so different right now.
