Lane Train Tweet

No idea what this means, but this guy was the first one I saw reporting Lincoln Riley to USC last week. He seems connected on the West Coast. Maybe in reference to Lane going to another school?

yeah it would have to be a lot of money. Lane is a city guy, and preferably a city on the ocean. That doesn’t leave him a lot of choices. But lots and lots of money can create a nice stop over for a few years
Ole Miss can’t offer longer than four (4) years.

What if OU offered 7yrs/$56M? Maybe Ole Miss tries to counter but they can’t offer longer.

I hope for the sake of this program the Miami bros magic finally hits with Mario because for f*cks sake, if we think we’re too good for Kiffin.

All of these high minded enlightened fans who love browbeating the supposed plebs and the rabble down here for not being happy with anything and that they’re miserable for thinking they’re too good for Mario will be quieter than a church mouse about Kiffin going to Oklahoma thinking Miami is too good for him.

But but but…. Kiffin has some red flags.

Is this big boy football or not?

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Many are so relieved to be getting rid of Mandy, that they fail to realize that he was only part of the cancer that has been eating away at our program for far too long. The Miami Bros are not a solution to the problem. No other program is run this way.

At the very least, they should allow Radakovich do the search and hiring process without any interference. I’m pulling for Mario to do well if he’s the hire, but he has never proven to be willing to hire a cutting edge OC. He’s too stuck on his old school, power football ways. Even Sabag adjusted and evolved.

With TVD, Garcia, and all of the weapons that we have, it would be a HUGE mistake to keep on running his preferred antiquated offense. All of our recent coaches have been set on running their system (wether on offense or defense), and it has proven to be their demise.

You think years 5, 6 and 7 matter all that much? What if Ole Miss offers 4 years at $36?

Longer contract, more guaranteed money?

Seems these recent huge deals have been extremely buyout friendly on the side of the HC.

Of course, Ole Miss could annually extend the contract.

After listening to Lane completely diss life in Oxford, I can’t see him wanting to live in Eugene or Norman. Especially not Norman.

I’ve heard this mentioned on several occasions, where and when did this happen, if you remember. I’d love to hear this.

He was a guest on LeBatard Within the last 2-3 weeks. I wish I knew the exact date. He was asked about he lake in Oxford. Lane mentioned having driven by it but never going on it. He said he doesn’t do brown water. Then they went back and forth about the type of boat he had when was he was at FAU.
Maybe it was because of the questions, but the entire vibe was ”I’m stuck living in a college town in Mississippi. Someone please end this”

Especially for a coach who is all about jumping ship for the next new adventure. He would be much more interested in the amount per year and up front money than how long the contract is.

Not if he gets fired…..

UM is purposely saying no to Lane's Bama S&C program to have the clown Feld from Oregon who just got his **** pushed in twice by Utah by a combined 59 points.
I'm convinced y'all dudes are miserable irl. I wanted Kiffin but I'm not about to b*tch about it everyday. Mario is a great hire.

Why hire a top AD only to handcuff him and make him hire someone he didn't personally choose? We need, NEED to let him do his job. I trust him more than I trust the Miami homers that just want a Miami homer hire.

Why do you assume Rad, or whomever is hired, would reject Mario if making the choice?

I'm not saying he would reject him. I'm saying let him interview several people and choose the coach he believes is the best fit. If he feels Mario is the best fit, then hire him. All I am saying is let him do his job. If that means Mario, fine. If it means someone else, fine. Just let him do the job he was hired to do.
