Lane is a savage

Lane is a self serving ******* but he’s going to have a lot of success there. If he’s getting $25m a year in NIL and he gets a few elite recruiters on staff to handle the HS stuff so he doesn’t have to, he’s winning 10-11 a year every year.

Very curious to see if Blake leaves for Tulane (didn’t realize he was from there) who he goes after for DC but if he has Coach O and Frank Wilson on staff still they’ll be fine loading up HS classes that he won’t work hard to get.

Ole Miss matched LSU's pay; the only reason he left is that he believes he will have a better chance to win a championship at LSU, can recruit better players, and LSU is a more prestigious school. The only difference is I don't know if Miami would've paid him, 12/13 Mil a year if someone else came looking

Ole Miss required him to hit on the portal every single year. Lane wasn’t high school recruiting at all so by the end he likely realized I can still close a top 6 class every year at the HS level without much effort whereas at Ole Miss he needs everything every offseason to go perfect because the middle of the roster has nothing.

exactly, he wont have to hit the portal so hard at LSU, and he'll definitely close on a top 8 class every year there even if he's not known as a great recruiter

He's been at in the NFL, Tennessee Vols, USC, and Alabama and now has a job at LSU. He's had numerous better jobs. He's one of the best coaches in the nation and has been the villain with mini redemption arcs the entire time.

And its a smear campaign when its in retaliation for him leaving and there are plenty of unsubstantiated rumors and stories. Some true, sure. All of them? Its a smear campaign. Its akin to your ex walking around and telling everyone your D game is weak after you've been having her crawling up the walls for years, begging for a ring. Kiffin is the best coach in the history of the program and they are crying on his way out to a better opportunity.

Ole Miss did the same **** with Hugh Freeze and Ed Orgeron.

Perhaps, Ole Miss should stop trying to make these coaches into housewives when they belong to the streets and then acting like your token female when the coaches eventually move on.

No elite program wanted him as HC, the best he got post Bama OC was FAU. Congrats, Lane.

Where is the redemption arc? He hasn't done anything as HC and even in the NIL era with the most uncompetitive SEC in a long time, he struggles to beat the Gators to secure a playoff berth. He's good, but not one of the best. One of the best would've done something already after a ****load of years as a HC.

This is particularly funny because Lane harrassed a 26 year old ex girlfriend of his to the point where legal action was threatened. The dog he was promoting as his? Not his. Him doing drugs and ******* college hoes? Well known and proven now. Guy is a dirtbag.

That's just not true. Johnny Vaught won championships with Ole Miss, something Lane Kiffin has not done despite the fact that legitimately everything was done for him to do so.

I'm not sure how people are blinded to see this dude being a POS. Hasn't done anything with enough opportunities to do so and has cracked relationships wherever he went.

Theres enough irony to fill the Grand Canyon in giving a guy with Kiffin's personal history $13m/yr after complaining that Brian Kelly's contract was an irresponsible stewardship of public funds, then reportedly trying to fire him for cause for banging a younger woman (who still probably old enough to be be a mother to the sorority pledges Lane was playing "pickleball" with, allegedly)

Heck of a coach though.
