It’s been pointed out that FSU dropped from 4 to 5. This would be a much bigger drop.

Me and my stepfather talked about this. I hypothesized, while I loathe FSU, it set a really bad precedent for the future.

What happens when a star player gets suspended right before CFP? Is the commitee going to say, "Well, sorry, but because you suspended your star player, you don't get to go in the playoffs, because we think you're not as good." Do you even understand the consequences of such thinking? It needs to remain body of work. You don't go to the playoffs based on what you could do, you go into the playoffs based on what you have done.

so Ole Miss has a better chance to win with him on the sidelines. what difference does it make?

Why not? BECAUSE HE LEFT THEM FOR A RIVAL. They dont owe Lane anything. And Ole Miss has the same exact chance to win with Lane than without him which is NONE

He was a rehab project after USC, and his path suggests that. It was never ending at Ole Miss. He may have offered to coach through the playoffs, but that was optics. He's moved on to LSU, that's what he will be spending 75% of his time on, no matter what he says.

There is genuinely no good that comes from letting him hang around, and that's why at most jobs, when you announce you're going to a direct competitor, you're gone. Regardless of what happens these next few games, you're back to square one anyway.

Click on your icon in the upper left, under account details > Preferences turn off the profanity filter. Then you don't see the soft version.

Lane had planned on staying through the playoffs but when they gave him an ultimatum to let them know that was the end of that…a lot of the problems with all these coaching hires and the timelines is this crazy timeline the NCAA has set with ESD and the portal.I think that’s why OM named the DC the HC because they needed someone to save the class and there wasn’t time for them to wait to go find some else..

They didn’t want to give Lane all that time to poach the players and the coaches plus any recruits he was after.

How do you recruit a kid for OM when they know you’re leaving for LSU.

Lane Kiffin is cool by me. He was going to coach those games and Ole Miss told him to eat **** because they are mad and sad. Colonel Reba scorned ex feminine energy in Oxford.

The smear campaign that has followed has been gross.

They should be left out of the playoffs.

Not a smear campaign when that **** actually happened.

We don't have to pretend as if he literally ****ed himself through campus, benched his starting RB for nailing his daughter and hit up college girls whenever he went on away trips. That **** happened.

There's a reason why Ole Miss was the best job he could get till now. It's been known. Any serious organization does not associate themselves with that.
