No, that's just speculation from LSU message board insiders

Personally, I have a feeling that a big reason he took that job is that IF NIL is regulated in any way, LSU is going to be a much better place than Oxford.

Lane still has to prove he can recruit the high school ranks consistently. If he becomes overly reliant on the portal he then them into another Florida state.

Lane told a coach on our staff that he wanted the Miami job. He complained to several people I know in the industry about the lack of NIL support at Ole Miss. He had enough to pull in top end portal classes there, but nothing like he’s going to have at LSU.

We are celebrating 2 10 wins seasons. You wouldn't want the 4 + a Playoff berth he delivered?

When you are a good coach, you can get poached. Happened throughout our history. Our problems have been the coaches no one else really wanted after their time here.
 


Honest question…how can Ole Miss expect to compete in a playoff game if this article is accurate…Lane is taking the entire offense staff. How does that square with what happened to FSU without Travis?

Lane kiffin has ole miss in the playoffs with a div 2 qb and we have posters on here questioning if he can recruit in hs to be a legitimate coach. Lol

This is another good point about the futility of the idea of a guy like that in Miami. They let that slide in Starkville. The local and national media down here would eat him alive. They're always looking for a Miami scandal.
