Doesn’t matter. Plenty of schools have money who are irrelevant. Turning it over to a first time HC will be a disaster.

You don’t know that. Every hiring cycle there are “hot” coaches with head coaching experience who flop.

If they lose their offensive side it doesn’t seem like much of a fair tradeoff. Didn’t sound like Kiffin was even targeting the defensive staff.

We shall see how it plays out. The point of my post(s) is that Ole Miss's AD is not going quietly into the mid-SEC night. Unlike Miami's empty (pant) suit AD leadership, Ole Miss's AD is stepping to the plate and taking his cuts. Check this tweet;

I dont knoe if Ole Miss is doing a lot of posturing IMO
Are you tellimg me you would be okay with our coach coching through the playoffs if he had accepted the job at fsu?

If I thought he was an actual difference-maker, improved our chances in the playoffs, and trusted he’d stay 100% locked in, yeah, I’d do it

The hiring cycle and calendar are a mess. It needs to be fixed

Making the playoffs is brutal, man. We’re the proof this year, you can have a legit good team and still be on the outside looking in. I’m not taking it for granted. I’d make sure we get our best version on the field the rest of the year

Ole Miss was 100% correct in that approach. If Kiffin wants to take the LSU job then he is instantaneously disqualified from coaching at Ole Miss.

Bo Schembechler showed everyone the correct way of doing things. "A Michigan Man will coach a Michigan team!"
i think the correct approach is to put your team in the best position to win the college football playoff.
