The calendar, portal, and hiring cycle is a mess. It can be better than this, there’s no need for things like this to happen

Lane is the epitome of not caring. He doesn’t care about his image, his legacy, or anyone’s opinions. He’ll do whatever he thinks is best for him and his own amusement. Ole Miss knew this when they hired him

Ole Miss is doing a lot of posturing too. They thought they had some pull by giving him an ultimatum. I don’t get why cooler heads didn’t prevail here.
 
Too bad they missed the SEC Championship. Booger answered the FSU question the other night. The committee was able to see FSU without Travis, the committee won’t see Ole Miss without Lane

I agree and would be terrible precedent to set. I know the coach is super important to the team, but as long as a bunch of players didn't opt out which not sure why they would, then they earned that spot and deserve to be in it.
FSU was a totally different situation as there were only 3 playoff games total and can't have a joke team ruining one of them. Plus, we saw their product for a few games and knew that was not worthy of playoff TV.
 
In Louisiana many feel they missed out on the economic boom that the University of Alabama got from Saban. Ole Miss has had a smaller economic boom from Kiffin’s tenure but an economic boom no less. LSU wants the same. That’s what’s also going on with LSU going after and getting LK

brah u dont have to lie this bad .....we seen the video ....that 40 yr old man almost sh*t on himself when lane walked up on him and told himt o come in the office and call him a hoe. Dude was afraid to make eye contact with Lane.

Not saying Lane is some tough guy but yall are trying to hard.

Everyone here would be ****ed since they are all at their first job awaiting the company pension to come through.

Hottest coach in the country got poached by a top job and everyone acts like major college football is elementary school.

We poached our current coach when his previous team was in the playoff hunt and then excused those losses as his head was already in Miami.

It’s business.
