Lane is a savage

I'll give you last year EVEN THOUGH our failures were pretty much Guidry's fault.... but THIS year, were not in the playoffs because BECK decided to go [maude edit: deleted word that offends special needs kids’ parents] for 1 game... and then that SMU game, you can just blame whoever you want.
So Ole Miss failures are Kiffin's, but Miami's failures are anyone but Mario's...

The past two years have demonstrated with irrefragable clarity that, whatever forces must conspire to ensure Miami walks away with nothing, will absolutely coalesce. The universe would find a way to **** us with a jagged plunger.
We mocked the football gods by not kneeling and they are still irked.

This is false. He did not quit right before the playoffs. He accepted another job opportunity before the playoffs but offered to finish through completion and they said no. Ole Miss isn’t a victim and neither is Lane.
Sure he didn’t quit. And sure neither is a victim. But it was in his contract that if he left he would not finish. Lane agreed to that. I have issue with the semantics of “offered to stay”. The way he dragged this out suggests to me that he was leveraging himself so he could stay if he wanted to. And if he actually did give his coaches an ultimatum then that sounds more like a threat than an “offered” to stay.

I truly thought he didn’t know what he wanted to do but I now feel he has known for awhile that he was going to LSU. Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to finish the season per his contract, he dragged it out for leverage to stay if they made the playoffs.

I think we’d be in the playoffs this year too. Lane would have a different QB situation than Emory and Judd behind the transfer for the second year in a row. He also wouldn’t have overseen the prevent offense like we’ve seen. I wasn’t a lane train guy just my observations watching it all.

No one wants him. He isn't going anywhere. Our most successful coaches have moved on. So they all gave zero ***** because they took what they perceived to be a better opportunity?
Mario isnt going anywhere by choice and everyone knows it. Every school that has/had an opening aside from probably LSU would take Mario tomorrow, including PSU and UF. Your hatred for the dude is clouding your judgment.

Leverage.

That’s business. He should just leave though when they say no. His reaction was childish. Some of these guys in here threw a hissy fit when TVD did that - that was also business. Is it ******? Maybe but people use leverage everyday when they have it. I see it all the time.

Blue Lot or Titanic? Either way we need to sell tickets - all proceeds going to Canes Connection.
The parking lot behind Titanic is perfect. Secluded, low-light, dangerous-- but in a convenient location so the big-**** 40-year-old men can go back to their Coral Gables luxury condos after threatening strangers on the internet. TRT isn't for everyone, folks.

There’s nothing shocking here and I don’t judge this man for this like a lot of these guys I’m seeing in here do. He has a right to be offered a better job opportunity and accept it. I respect that he offered to finish the playoff run through conclusion. They said no. He should just go graciously at that point which he didn’t.
I personally dont have any issues with him taking another job...thats just the way it goes.

"He should just go graciously at that point which he didn’t."

This is the part I find funny. Dude should have left graciously after they told him no to coaching the playoff. Reguardless its really just entertainment for me.

Where did I say Ole Miss failures are Kiffins??? I don't and didn't want him here because of his character and because he's a **** mercenary. We would be looking for a coach right this second. Would that be a better situation??

Okay well I can't agree or disagree because that's an unknown. I'm saying if he was our coach with BECK as our QB.... we lose the same exact two games.

Yes, and you right about everything imo. he broke the contract by demanding he stay and coach the team. It was in the contract that he can’t continue. That’s put in place so things like this don’t happen.
I would have to see the contract where it says if he takes another job he’s not allowed to stay. Regardless, asking to stay is not a breach of that contract if that’s how it is written. Parties mutually amend agreements - i do it all the time - and my agreements typically say nothing can be changed unless in writing and signed by the parties. He can ask. There’s no breach from the little I can see.
