Landing DE Roche unlikely

In Atlanta, former head coach is at gt along with other coaches, less competition for playing time, I can See the appeal.
Nah that doesn’t make sense, why would he go to a school where his former head coach is at rather come in the U? 😂😂😂😂

It’s not unlikely, it’s not happening. The day he hit the portal, we contacted him and he wants to win now. If he goes to GT or UNC, someone has a relationship or did a better sell job. Either way, the OP’s realization that he’s not coming here and disappointment is a week late. Winning matters. We lost to FIU, Duke and LT to end the season. We’re not going to get what we want.

Did you read that anywhere? About him wanting to win now and is contacting him?

People keep talking all the depth we have. Bodies and talent yes but proven? Our DE board is extremely green.

3 incoming freshman = zero snaps.
Cam Williams = redshirted.
Harvey = very limited snaps.
Patchan = rotational player.
GR15 = stud.

If Garvin had returned I could see no need for Roche but other than Rousseau’s 15.5 sacks returning, the remaining players returning produced 9.5 total. Roche is a take all day every day. This defense should be attractive to a guy like unless once again or defensive staff sucks at recruiting.

Will we have enough DE's now so baker can move rousseau inside on passing downs allowing him to be easily double teamed when hes been wreaking havoc off the edge all game?
Thank you. Been trying to point out the stuff this bum does for quite some time now. The realist on this site see it, the slurpers are blinded by the BS inflated defensive stats and Rosseau's impressive year which could have been 6-8 sacks more impressive if it wasn't for DUM DUM calling plays.

Only Miami Hurricanes fans will say Ga. Tech staff can recruit (after recruiting a 26th ranked team with 24 commits with none of them being better than anyone in our 18th ranked class) better than Miami’s staff. Lol. Only Miami fans. I’ll say it once and I say it again... the staff ability to recruit only rely on winning. For a terrible season Miami had to have the 18th recruiting class... is called recruiting. I know you all want the Golden stars but until Miami starts winning Winning... it just won’t happen!

And did y’all ever stop to think that Roche knows he won’t start and probably has to compete to get on a two deep? Dog probably wants to go where starting is guaranteed.

You forgot all-world #1 player overall and always injured and not playing Jaelen Phillips.

I think Miami has all the talent in the world at DE but is 2 injuries away from either having Patchan start or having sophomores and freshmen as the entire rotation.

The team has way bigger needs than defensive end but they should be stacking talent and getting the roster numbers right. I’m all for trying to get players at any position who are proven starters elsewhere. The team still has 6-9 initial counters to use for this season.

The team is going to have something stupid like 8 seniors for 2020 and be nowhere near 85 scholarships (even after using all initial counters), the roster composition is a train wreck.

I think the OP is new to all this. LOL

So you don’t think Collins being his coach at Temple has more to do with this than the other stuff you’re talking about
Exactly, playing for his old coach plus the fact that Roche knows he can walk in and be a starter at Ga. Tech.

It doesn’t make sense for him, as talented as he is, to come here and become a mid-high snap rotational player. He’s smart to go somewhere that he’ll be on the field the whole time...

He would play opposite Rosseau and they would have 12 sacks piece and be top 2 round draft picks.

Thats cause dIAZ sucks and players see the D is overrated
The D set up DEs to thrive. Scheme has nothing to do with his decision if he doesnt come here. Rosseau had 16 sacks. No brainer DEs can put up gaudy stats
