Lance Guidry on Behind the U podcast with Josh Darrow

I really liked this hire at the onset, liked it a lot after watching how Marshall handled ND, and now loving it the more he breaks down X's & O's. We have depth concerns at DT and less than ideal overall talent at linebacker & the secondary but I think he will put guys in better position to succeed and make adjustments. He seems like the kind of coach players will fight for.

I don’t know what his coaching style will look like, but from a personality standpoint, I’d definitely rather play for him than that robot of Kevin Steele.
the energy and temperament of both these new coordinators are just night and day from their predecessors. hope they can bring it on gameday, because they both seem like genuinely likable and knowledgeable dudes.

Watch how Marshall played against Notre Dame last season. Notre Dame is a "we'll line up, we'll run the ball and we'll put you on your ***" team.

Marshall played as well as a defense can play in that game. The D-Line brutalized the O-Line from snap to snap, every tackle was a pop, the coverage was tight and guys were flying around with incredible energy.

If Guidry can make our defense play like that, that unit is going to storm up the rankings.

100%. That Marshall D was fun as **** to watch. If you haven't you need to watch this game especially.

I legit thought Steele got that Bama job as a stop gap to Pruitt but he would be the analyst who was really calling the plays but now he’s a PE teacher lol so they just get Steele’s old ***

Best thing I got was the third quarter adjustments. How many times especially with Golden Miami played FSU close for a half. Then Jimbo's second half adjustments with the Dalvin Cook teams for example FSU would roll Miami. Now for me the A&M game just got a lot more interesting. Third quarters will be huge this season. Lets GO CANES!!

Didn't know he spend time under Don Brown. Now I am really excited to see what the defense does.

I wanted Folden to hire Don Brown when he was at Boston College. But he kept that fat **** Dorito.
