Lamar jackson .. wow

Say what you will, but Patrino is a damned good coach and better OC. His offenses are difficult to "control" and he attacks all over the field. If their defense is up to snuff they will beat fsu. They will beat the majority of teams in the sec as well. Until bamer is knocked off the mountain the sec is always going to be overrated.

impressive stats but lets see what he has against the big boys. its like competing against the jv squad. he should have had big numbers against them

Look, of course it's an impressive set of numbers, but what else would you expect when you're playing a garbage team and your coach has an offense-only philosophy? Look for Luke Falk to put up video game numbers against Eastern Washington for the same reason.

When it's all sorted out, though, neither Louisville nor Washington State will be in the mix at the end of the season. So maybe let's keep one game's worth of stats in perspective.

There are a few who don't think Petrino is an upper echelon coach around here because he hasn't dominated his first couple years at Louisville. Petrino comin and going to help this conference grow.

There defense will step back big times because Strong recruited the state of florida well and defense wins big games. UL will start having those great offense but there d will be ***

Petrino is a great offensive mind but he's never established a defense in his career and he's been too stubborn to commit to the run when necessary. If he can fix those things Louisville will be a serious contender to come.

As far as all those who felt the need to point out charlotte is terrible please just KYS. Dude scored 8 touchdowns in 1 half just act mildly impressed nobody is crowning him as a heisman for it god ****.

crazy good numbers.. will wait to see if he can do half of that, in a game vs a decent team before the crown is placed.

I'm curious why a coach feels it's necessary to keep his starting quarterback in a game where they have a 6 or 7 touchdown lead. If Miami is up 49-0 nothing against FAMU and Kaaya is still playing someone kill Mark Richt.

He pulled him at half

He threw for 227 yards, and ran for 226 yards with a total of 4 TD's vs. Texas A&M in the bowl game if anyone is wondering how he will do vs. real opponents.

Should have pulled him earlier then. IF your starter has already led 7 touchdown scoring drives, I'd say he's gotten enough work in against a horribly overmatched opponent and doesn't need to be on the field anymore. The kid is a great player and his numbers are awesome but I'd like to see Patrino explain having him in the game with a 50 point lead and he gets hurt.

******* christ so much *****ing in this thread. God forbid a coach want his starters to get 1/2 a game of reps.

So you're cool with a starting quarterback getting hurt when you're up by 50 in a meaningless game? Here's a little info: A returning starting quarterback isn't gaining anything by getting extra reps against a physically inferior opponent. It's strictly stat padding.

He only touched the ball 34 times so ya, i'm fine with it. It's something you deal with when a program is supporting his Heisman campaign. Guess who Belichik played in the 4th preseason game last yesterday.....Tom Brady.
