Btw, I was genuinely curious about the University Lab > LSU pipeline and I went back 10 years on 247 to check data. Looked at the top 50 prospects in that state every year and a grand total of one kid from university lab ended up going to lsu - in 2020.

Not saying it’s not a thing but thought it was interesting.

I wasn't going to go back and check the data but the people here know U High athletes most likely don't go to LSU. They are part of the money crowd, they don't need LSU, and they will tell you that.

Their staff isn't concern with upsetting their current roster by paying recruits more, like ours appears to be?

Their staff is concerned about keeping their jobs. Brian Kelly isn't feeling as much heat as Hugh Freeze but he's feeling heat. There's a sizable contingent of LSU boosters who never wanted Kelly and their ranks are growing. If LSU has another 9-3 type season with the money they are finally spending BK will get another season but after that I don't think he'll survive. Kelly was hired and sold to the boosters as "Saban-like" who was held back by ND's academic restrictions (Marcus Freeman has proved that was a lie plus Kelly actually had ND in the top 10 of NFL producing schools) after Orgeron who is a real, wild cat. But, so far Kelly has been average at best.

Yall gotta stop this. If something changes he will post it. He has never been one of the peacocks that only pops in to say everything is great.

He used to **** on the staff a lot. He’s a fair insider.

But if you look at the top prospects from that state over that same time span, almost all of them go to LSU. The only school that consistently has beaten LSU for their top kids has been Alabama with Saban.

So it’s not so much that the university lab kids go to LSU it’s that the top kids in the state end up there.

Oh for sure. LSU has always had the monopoly on that state’s top prospects much like Georgia. I was just throwing it out there as an interesting data point. That said, I think it’s either lsu or ATM for that kid

LSU yes…Besides one here and there to Saban

Georgia not really…Georgia kids have long anywhere. Not just because of being a much larger state with more numbers than LA, but even in recent years of their nice run, there's only been a slight uptick, it's not too uncommon to see GA kids with Georgia offers to pick another SEC school.

Like of their top 15 in state offers…Georgia can only get 6-8. Whereas IF there's a year where LSU has that many in state offers out, they are getting double digits.

Yeah no state compares when it comes to good ball players and allegiance. LSU has insane control over the state. They’ve also been good since sabag got there. These kids have grown seeing competent football and 3 championships

bama kids too. They go to either auburn or bama. Texas kids don’t go far either. Florida seems like the only state where the kids jump up to leave

My #2 loyalty state would be ohio, but It can fall off when the program is down a little, where as it seems Bayou kids always want to go to LSU. I'd say LSU bats around 70% in LA on kids they really want

NIL is a game changer too. If money is good and equal even if I'm from Louisiana do I want to live in Baton Rouge? Or, Austin, College Station, Miami, etc?

This is probably a volume problem. How many top prospects come out AL or LA every year compared to FL? Also, doesn’t help that none of the major programs in Florida can seem to win with any real consistency.
