2026 Lamar Brown 5* OT/DT from University Lab in Baton Rouge, LA Commits to LSU

Just curious as to why you think NIL eradicated the need to troll?
The agents are basically doing the bidding behind the scenes. The players themselves don’t need to be the catalyst when the agents are already playing one school against the other. Think of it more like pro sports and how you don’t see players doing much to drive up the price because the agents are.

You never see a pro free agent telling a team he might be coming in order to drive up the price with another team. But his agent is doing exactly that behind the scenes.

None of this is to say Brown is coming as I think its odd he is posting all this while not committing.

Let the trauma go fellas

Because they can just say that the other school has a bigger offer while the kid doesn't need to do anything anymore
I understand your rationale now. You connected trolling to using other teams as leverage.

To me, in my opinion, trolling in recruiting is moreso as a way to get attention, amusement and immaturity.

But I get what you guys are saying

I mean the interest is absolutely a legit, and I absolutely believe we have a solid to even good shot of landing him. But he can still be trolling. Tweeting like a commit when you aren't is troll-like. Dudes committing in a month and has an OV to A&M literally tomorrow and then LSU on the 20th and then is committing like 2 weeks late.

In my opinion, I think people on here are putting way too much value on the Baton Rouge factor. We’ll probably be in the SEC or B10 by the time I’m done listing off the backyard prospects we’ve lost to out of state schools. If playing in his hometown was that important to him, he would have already worked out an NIL deal with LSU, committed, and basically shut down his recruitment months ago. I don’t see him taking a home town discount.

Could LSU absolutely drop the bag on him and land him, absolutely. He’s a 5 star DT- everyone wants him. But they’ll need to have an extremely aggressive NIl package

Also, people need to remember we’re dealing with Brain Kelly here. He’s softer than toilet paper when it comes to NIL
