NO ONE outside of this board, has associated Brown with UM. Not a single peep, not even a blurb from a random fan site. There has literally been nothing, only LSU/TAMU.

Don’t remember on Latwan honestly, but Seantrel obviously OV’d here (I know Lamar did as well), and it was a foregone conclusion that he was UM bound once he got his release from USC. I don’t know if you all remember but I believe it was Seantrel’s dad who was driving his recruitment and was big into the music/entertainment industry? Seantrel was always believed to end up in a bigger city ie LA/Miami.

The Citizen smoke began about a week before his announcement and Wiltfong posted the night before his announcement that Miami was gaining traction and it was looking like a Miami/UF battle. That is way more than we are getting here.

Idk what you all want, I am just stating the facts here. I’m 100000% positive that 1mur received some intel that has him bullish in his stance and I’m sure he got it from someone legit. All I am saying is that there are literally ZERO parallels, including Cormani. We literally have not heard ANYTHING about Brown from national media aside from the cakewalk post OV articles. Zilch. Nada. Nothing

Cormani only took ONE OV that summer, and it was to UM. Wiltfong, Ivins (2 national writers), both posted ARTICLES about their sources saying Cormani’s mom/camp loves UM and DVD and that we are a darkhorse in his recruitment. There is absolutely NOTHING out there about Brown and Miami by anyone aside from fans like you and I on message boards. This would be unforeseen because unlike Citizen, Seantrel, and others ya’ll ate throwing out that don’t compare - people outside of Miami message boards had them associated with Miami as a potential landing spot and not just a simple mention of us being a school that is under consideration because they OV’d to us. That is all I’m saying.


*LeSean McCoy could be one. I don’t think he OV’d to Miami? But as someone mentioned, everyone knew he’d never even make it to campus due to grades so it was overlooked.

Gotcha. I wasn’t super locked in on recruiting by the end of the Manny years so couldn’t remember for sure.

Sentrel was not on Signing Day, he was months later. We recruited him all along, but he picked Southern Cal. He only switched when it became apparent that USC would be going on probation.

He actually commited to Miami IN JUNE. So Seantrel was definitely NOT a surprise that came out of nowhere.
 
The last biggest surprise FOR ME was Tracy Howard. I wasn't following recruiting THAT much at the time(so I don't know how much he actually visited us) but all I kept hearing was that he was going to be a gaytor. I think he even said in an interview he decided UM that morning of signing day. Even his mom thought he was a gaytor. One of the happiest moments for me in recruiting. Also the last time I ever took off from work for this Bvllshvt 😂.
