Ladarius Gunter

Gunter is our best cb by far,all anyone has to do is watch the practice clips and him running drills compared to the other DBs and is night and day how much better he is.He just wasn't a highly rated recruit like Howard but is the better cb.

Gunter, Harris, Crawford and Burns are the deepest Miami's CBs have been in a decade. I have to no problem with any of those 4 starting. Only position Miami has no problems at

I miss the days of Mike Williams and Hot Tub Lee Chambers lining up at CB.

Those were the days.

JoJo Nicholas, a converted strong safety, had a death-grip lock on one of the corner spots.

Considering one team in the country had more than 35 TOs gained in 2013 I'd say you have zero shot of being correct.

So you're telling me theirs a chance

The point of the predictions was just that, something absurd but still within the realm of possible.

For example, One guy said McCord with 15 sacks. Possible, yes. Probable, no.

I had a quick chat with McCord today at Canesfest and I was saying how I'm looking forward to seeing him get 10 sacks this year. And he just looked at me and said, "nah, Im getting 15".
He was definitely our best pass rusher last year, and I think he will be again. I still think 10 sacks are most likely, but just thought it was funny you mentioned 15 sacks for him.

Gunter is solid, isnt too flashy, but gets the job done, hes physical , and isnt affraid to tackle, the guy will have a solid year again

People need to get off arties back, he was only a freshman last year, and we all knew coming in he was a little raw at the position, i expect him to pick it up this season

I like Gunter and still expect big things from him. I remember being really excited when he committed. Of course it could have been partly because our secondary was ridiculously thin at the time.

I'd guess that there are a few teams in the country that have a better pair of starting CBs than we do, but I doubt that there are many that can match our 5 (Howard, Gunter, Burns, Crawford, Elder). Hopefully depth pays off here and guys are able to really maximize their opportunities.

Howard and Burns? Seriously? What have they done? Thoroughly unimpressed with both of their tackling. Howard is aggressive in coverage but dogs it when he has make a tackle.

Wow the kool-aid is flowing. This secondary was horrible last year. According to greentree hype they are improved and we shall see on monday. Supposedly the d-line is considerably improved as well which would help the db's a lot. Until the show differently they are still the group that consistently made evert qb they faced look like heisman contenders.

I still don't see it with Gunter... He's decent but I don't see it... I can't say how deep our secondary is because only two has played a lot... Howard is our best corner and Gunter is decent... Everyone else has potential but that's it...

**** scheme.

Mike Williams and Lee Chambers were on the best defense at Miami under Dorito and Golden. So what point were you trying to make?

Every Saturday morning I woke up and knew Mike Williams was going to get abused it was bad.

Gunter is solid, not great. His greatest strength is that he is big and physical and you absolutely need a CB like that on your team. You need a guy like him when there are WRs like Kelvin Benjamin out there on other teams. Remember when Brandon Harris got abused by Carr back in 08? Gunter is the type of player that negates stuff like that from happening.

Gunter can tackle but his cover skills leave a little to be desired of....

Hey the big thing is we are talking about our secondary and can't just single out one of them
All if them all pushing watching each other so that's exciting hopefully it helps our front line

Yea but that was different... You're talking about a freshman Brandon Harris against one of Fsu's all-time TD leaders during his senior year... After that year Harris was way better than Gunter... We'll even line Harris up in the slot against the pass catching tight ends like Dwayne Allen... Gunter is okay... He's a decent player...
