I don't agree with this take. CFB is as exciting as ever. There are some problems of course (conference realignment + excesses of the portal), but the sport is still healthy and we again can compete for all the marbles.

This is ironic because I was watching some old highlights of Johnny Manziel winning vs Bama.

Kept thinking "Not a single player has that level of hype currently" but maybe it's some bias from older days and how we follow and enjoy sports.

DE Sutton for Penn State was all over the place vs Oregon

So I was watching and I remember thinking I know PSU Has some DE on the draft boards and that guy went in was doing a full on presnap dance then got torched on a run to the outside lol

Outside of Jeremiah Smith, John Mateer, and Rueben Bain, who is worth tuning into this year

Seems like a very meh year overall for exciting players

The difference is a ton of the better teams have really young QBs

Just have to know who & what to watch for.
