Regardless, every HC coming to a new situation deserves two yrs. If we see the same shenanigans next yr, then worry should set in.

I've always tried to give any of our coaches at least 3 seasons, whether they were my preferred candidate or not.

Bailed on Manny early tho. NGL. Had strong reservations about Golden after Game 1 too :ROFLMAO:

I saw adjustments made for the UNC game, and that's the bare minimum that I ask.

Mario burned a mulligan on MTSU. Now he’s gotta earn one back and get this team rolling and beat Clemson

That's not what I mean. My main man Krazy said he's riding with Mario. It's October 12, 2022. Stoops, Manny, Mickey Mouse....that's all done. Mario is the coach. So today, on October 12, 2022, when Krazy says he's riding with Mario, what are the people who disagree with him going to do? Start following tennis or bowling on the weekends? Fly banner planes? Spread negativity on this board and twitter? What's your plan if you're not "riding with Mario"?

Just like those protesters blocking traffic for the cause du jour, they claim they're raising awareness, but all they do is **** off regular people.


Some are actually trolls, too.

Exactly, I would probably be labeled a slurper, but I support the guy until he has another schools logo on his chest because as a fan there is nothing I can do about it.

I would say there are far more than only two things that I'm concerned about. If I had to focus on two things it would be:

3. Offensive philosophy.
No, Mario did not ruin Herbert. But we never saw an explosive offense at Oregon. We saw an offense focused on a strong run game that can control the clock and QBs that are game managers. We've never really seen Mario produce elite skill players. We're getting early glimpses of the same here and I'm worried we see a stale offense that fails to consistently put up points in a sport that favors elite offenses. Which leads me to...

4. Stubbornness.
If there's one common trait we see from one failed coach to the next, it's their stubbornness. Their unwillingness to change their approach. Golden with Doritos. Richt with his outdated offensive system. Manny with his reluctance to hire an experienced DC and hand the reigns over to him. Will we see Mario do the same? If offense/defense continues to struggle will he adapt his approach or stick with what he's got?

Bingo...just like in 17 when we losrt Herndon and Ahmon Richards in back to back weeks...that hurt us bad vs Pitt and Clemson. I am not saying that we beat Clemmie, but had both been healthy for Pitt, we win that game. And I believe that the ACC Ship would have been a lot closer...close enough that a lucky break or 2 and we win it.

I see what Mario wants to do, build a strong program. I am in full support. I also see what people are complaining about. Most of us were spoiled by the 5 (actually 6 ships, and robbed of a shot at 2 more, I see you OK and ND)...and we are sick of seeing other programs stealing our limelight. Hate that FSU and UF have both won ships since our last one, and that makes us mad.
 
Look at every game this season. Where are the play makers ? This team cannot make routine football plays. And its killing any chance of winning. So I will ride with Mario hoping he kills it in recruiting. This team needs more studs especially big time play makers.
