It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a dynamic returnman. With the significantly improved roster since Richt has been at the helm, we now have several guys who could make a big impact in the return game. Who do you guys think will be the one???

I don't see it, but I think it's because we don't have the blocking ability we had 12 years ago. We have players with good 40 times, but not the agility of Travis Benjamen or his predecessors like Hester.

The special teams blocking is the worst it's been that i've ever seen in any level of football. Which means the CoRch needs to get his **** together asap.

But Jeff Thomas would be the one... if only we can block even on an average level.

Even with all the criticisms of JT4 he still had 691yds as the primary KR last year, which isn't all that bad considering he was a TF & our ST blocking isn't top notch.

But we have a bunch of great options for both KR & PR, JT4, Mark Pope, Nigel Bethel, Mike Harley, you could even throw one of the RB's out there too (don't think we would tho). Frierson was a great return man at Gables, but I don't think he'll be doing that here.

We just need to put someone dynamic back there & coach up forming better walls to create cutback lanes for the returner.

LMFAO at you guys. Jeff Thomas is really, really fast and shows a lot of promise at WR. But he is not a good kick returner. Maybe he can house one against Bethune Cookman or something, but he's not the guy that should be returning kicks. Of course the blocking will look terrible if the guy runs in a straight line.

All JT did last year on KO was run in a straight line to the right. Even when the left was wide open just ran right.

Put him in the slot and let him eat but please remove him from KO.

The fact that people even mention him is just laughable, like they weren't even watching the games. We've had a long history of elite returners, watching JT return kicks should make any Hurricane fan cringe.

I'd like DeeJay back there honestly.
I think he is the best option that we currently have. Pope will probably get a shot as well.

I think Deejay could be a special punt returner. Harley too. At KR I haven't given up on Thomas yet. I'd actually be intrigued to see Michael Jackson or Jaquan Johnson back there too.

The STs I've watched the last few yrs are Horrid.....The blocking for JT has been terrible.....What I'm more worried about are the PRs hands on Fair catches....Nary a Bobble with Berrios....

Not saying he’s good or bad at it, but that’s how our returns are designed. It’s not a free lance run where you think is open. There are different creases that the play is designed to run through depending on what is called
