And one more thing: you can't judge Perry by what you saw yesterday. The QB carousel has obviously hurt his game. He wasn't looking down receivers like that earlier in the year. On the contrary; he was doing things that were advanced for his level.. the whole country saw it, as evidenced by this film breakdown:

He also began multiple drives backed up into his own endzone and the receivers had a huge case of the drops yesterday (probably because of the rain).
The fact of the matter is that Perry should have been QB1 from day 1 of spring camp. He should've received all the attention and all the reps that a starter gets-- since way back then. Granted, that didn't happen, but then it should've happened once we did make him the starter. He should not have been pulled against UVA so quickly, and he should've started at BC. Had the coaching staff prioritized and committed to him from the spring, or at least at the beginning of this season, he wouldn't have looked so clueless last night when he was haphazardly thrown into the wolves.
