Kool iscoming to the U!!!! Thanks our great Peter Ariz!

The man is a top five defensive line coach in all of college football. This man has taken some very average recruits and turned them into All-Conference players, Defensive Players of the Year in the SEC, and professional football players. The few super studs he's gotten under his wing have become monsters.

Chad Thomas is about to get more coaching in the spring than he's ever gotten in his life. Hope that young man is ready to eat. He is about to become a first round pick.

Even other teams fans are talking about this being the best Asst coach hire so far this season. Dude is a monster. I cannot wait for spring ball.

You could argue UM has made the best HC hire and the best assistant hire this season. Now let's make the best (or 2nd best) DC hire.

Aranda would do it.

It would be huge. I imagine if Aranda does come here he bolts after a season (maybe two) in pursuit of a HC job. A quick turn around of our defense would all but assure he gets a few decent schools interested in him. I could see Kuligowski taking over DC after that.

This is fine. Then you get another top notch DC. This isn't a bad thing, you want your coaches to be wanted and promoted. These are not lifetime appointments.

Oh yeah, I wasn't complaining. I have no qualms with something like that happen.

This is even better news since it appears he is just the dline coach at Miami. Now we can make another great hire at the DC spot

pretty interesting that kool played offensive tackle in college and can use that knowledge of oline to be a savage dline coach. Great hire

Didn't this use to be a joke around? something about hiring a QB coach as DC because they knew what the QB was thinking.

Thank Adidas as well. Also, they want butts in that fancy newly renovated stadium. Lots at stake right now, and they can't afford to be cheap anymore.
Game changer. From Temple and FIU rejects to the best DL coach in college football. If we get a beastly DC it's gonna be lights out.

Let's start coaching guys up and get back to our rightful place. Thanks to Dr. Frenkenstein for opening the checkbook. We'll never get back by being nickel and dime motherfckers.

What do you think Adidas did other than giving us money in exchange for wearing their gear? They don't have any say in any of this.

Perhaps, but you figure they would prefer more than a few thousand fans at our stands watching our fancy uniforms. Of course, you also have more potential sales when teams wearing your fancy uniforms are trending up.
Of course they would prefer UM to be good. We all know that. The only thing that I question is what they can do to force UM to spend money. They signed a contract with UM and gave us money to wear their gear. That's the extent of their involvement.

Very similar to our very own Al Golden. A tight end in college who morphed into a masterful defensive mind.

Most feared dline coach in the country. Wow, our prayers have been answered

Miami: Per source, Mark Richt has won the Craig Kuligowski sweepstakes. Source tells FootballScoop that Kuligowski will be the new defensive line coach at Miami.

“It’s my job to get these guys better, and I don’t get to give up,” Kuligowski said. “I don’t want them to give up, so I don’t give up. Coaching is getting the players to do what they’re supposed to do when they’re supposed to do it. As easy as that sounds, it’s not very easy, so you have to use all methods available to teach guys. Then, you’ve got to hold them accountable to do what they’re supposed to do.”

**** yeah. Great news to wake up to. Golden and his toadies had me conditioned to expect failure. Nice to see it is possible for us to have nice things again.

Like I said, it only works if the coach knows how to apply it. Not sure why you brought up Golden since playing tight end has nothing to do with calling or designing a defense...offensive line and dline are play off each other. Moreover, Coach Kool talks about how being an offensive lineman made him an elite coach in multiple interviews. But, yeah definitely similiar.
