Q: Is it crazy to think that Mensah is in good form already for game 1?

A: NO

I think this kid can start fast enough to dice up the Cardinals in a serious way. Then I think that our depth comes in and shows a lot of promise, so that instead of us being out-scored in garbage time we actually out-score Stanford with our backups at the helm.

What do you guys think? Am I drunk on Kool-Aid or am I being realistic?

If we are a Championship team we need to blow em out. Put 50 on the scoreboard. Everyone is telling me we have the best RB in CFB and the best QB and the best WR. Blow em out and give no hope to anyone else on the schedule. Championship teams end games like this in 20 minutes.
 
We are a championship team potentially— that’s something you become- not always right out of the gate.
I think we win easily- nothing as far as our scoring would surprise me— could pick up a TD or two on specials or turnovers too….
 
I can see us scoring 42-45. I have not seen Mario run it up on teams but maybe this year will be different if we are just that good. Hope we use the game to get play for 2nd and 3rd string guys to build depth for the long season and playoff run.

Canes have the best 4th string RB (Pringle) in the country. Canes roll

I'm just not sure how they score.

They have 4/5 starting OL out.

Not sure they can pass when Warren is on his back or running for his life.

Can only rely on screens and draws for so long.

Probably 35-7 or 42-7 type game.
Late TD by Stanford.

I can taste the kool aid, it’s so tasty. It won’t happen, we’ll be conservative with the new OL and won’t risk Mensah. 300 team rushing performance tho would be a sight.

Or we go out and win comfortably and make sure we come back healthy.
