Padres get their broadcast rights back from Bally, other MLB teams are working on it.
This MIGHT COULD BE a novel approach to defeating the GOR down the road, that the monetary disparity should be a reason for dissolving the arrangement.
GRANTED, Bally has MISSED PAYMENTS to the Padres (twice) and others like the Rangers (once). The other teams are also suing Bally.
Still, it's an interesting thought process to work through, since it goes beyond the dollar amounts themselves, sets aside the agreement, and reverts the broadcast rights back to the team.
