  • Four of Miami's nine safeties are true freshmen
  • Of the ten wide receivers that the Longhorns carry, seven are brand new. Their three transfers are the only wide receivers with 2 or more years of experience
  • Miami's true freshmen average .9120 in composite, UT's true freshmen average .9239
  • Miami has 21 transfer portal players on roster compared to 24 the previous season
  • Texas has just 9 transfer portal players on roster compared to 8 the previous season

A couple of things about Texas surprised me - just how young that team was last season, the fact that they only carried 8 wide receivers yet were able to make it through the season, and the fact that they went with so many linebackers.

I was thinking the same thing looking at that. They seem to value LBs the way we do the DL.

Actually I'm not sure if that's value or overcompensating for shortcomings

I was actually wondering how Texas defense was looking since most of their portal pickups were on offense.

**** they carry so few DL, EDGE and Safety players. Boys better tamper with bama on the defensive side they need it more than the offensive side
