We had quite a few discussions/arguments here during the off season where people blamed Lashlee’s offense for our poor running production but the numbers clearly showed that the running game was decent prior to Harris and Chaney being lost for the season. Once they had to rely solely on Knighton, they could no longer run the ball at all. @bshaw28 even provided photographic evidence that backed up the statistics but people here just didn’t want to believe it.
Maybe he’s the kind of running back that can be really effective when given huge creases on every carry but what running back isn’t? If you watch Henry Parrish consistently turn poorly blocked run plays into 4 or 5 yard gains, you see the difference between a guy with vision and patience and a guy who just takes the ball and runs right into the defender.
