Kliff Kingsbury will be fired. Should we put in a call?
Ttech had the 4th ranked offense in their conference. A conference that plays 0 defense. If you're using their national rank you're a fool.
18th in the country when adjusting for defenses played. 25th in the country last year when adjusting for defenses played. 4th the year before that. 1st the year before that.
How many virgins do I need to sacrifice to get that level of offensive production at Miami?
I really don't understand how you can look at their opponents and come the "defenses" played conclusion. Outside of a decent Iowa state D nobody on that schedule plays defense. OU, Texas, WVU and OK St all allow like 40ppg to any team with a pulse.
Im not a fan of full on air raid.
Ive never seen an Air Raid team win it all.
When you play faster defenses the field shrinks.
I like a scheme thats spread with a power running element.
What you don't understand is how analytic models adjust for the quality of defenses you played, to get a more accurate ranking. You keep saying, "these defenses they play sucked," but the rankings I listed adjusts for those sucky defenses. They aren't fooled. They know OU, WVU, Ok State, etc., don't play defense.
Looking at their schedule objectively ....whose bringing up the defenses played ranking. That model is clearly broken when used on the B12.

Depends on what that buyout was..he doesn’t need to come coach right away
You're not looking at it objectively. That's what an analytic model is. It's an "objective" analysis. Just a formula.
You're actually looking at it subjectively by saying, "I don't care what the analytic models say. I don't care if they adjust for level of defenses played. I still think these defenses suck, so I don't think their offense was as good as the objective models say."
2000 OU was a full on Air Raid team.
I know what a formula is and i know when it's wrong. It's wrong. It's clearly failing to extrapolate data on TTechs offense vs the rest of CFB world. They haven't played an SEC or ACC team since 2015. It's full of FCS, and low grade pac 12 teams. It's very simple to look at. Ask yourself who's data are they using to rank them vs the rest of CFB? The only teams in the b12 who are playing games against real teams out of conference are OU, OK State, and WVU. They're taking data from those teams and applying it across the b12. That's a failure.
