Klatt thinks ND may be screwed

I do have a question about the resume comparison thing he just put up... Mainly Miami being 1-0 against CFB top 25 teams. I get it, FSU and USF were not ranked by CFP when we played them since the rankings did not come out yet, but why do we not get credit for Pitt? They were a CFB top 25 team when we played them, we dog walked them which caused them to fall out of the top 25, yet we dont get credit for a ranked win even though we are the reason they are unranked?

Now that Bama is safely at #9, Mario needs to call Saban and get him to campaign a little bit for him too... Saban has no reason to support ND...

This right here. I’ve been saying it. Guaranteed Nick Saban would support whoever won head to head. You get him on TV saying Miami should be in over Notre Dame based on head to head - that’s the kill shot.

Because they would rather put in Missouri or Tennessee who hasn’t even beat a bowl eligible team all year to prop up SEC top 25 wins

All these rankings do is help push the SEC and their viewership. They throw a little bit of a bone to the Big Ten and do enough to just keep the ACC and others involved. Rankings all the stuff will never fall into our favor as long as we were part of the ACC.
 
We are out IMO all the committee did was move Bama up to give them a buffer essentially awarding them for being the 1st seed in the SEC champ game. They did it to bump ND if Bama loses and BYU wins. The only scenario i think that might get us a look is if Bama wins and BYU loses. Anything else has us first out at 11. Good season and the ACC screwed us once again with botched calls causing us to lose and the most idiotic tie break i have ever seen in my life.

I keep hearing people use this rationalization, but it could be due to the fact they were thinking/hoping we’d lose and they wouldn’t have to make this decision. Now they have no choice and they’re going to be thinking about it and hearing all the negativity from people around the country and how wrong this is. I’m still holding out hope they will make the RIGHT decision in the end.

Do we need bama to win or lose the sec championship . Which one helps us better . Not sure they’re going to treat them like byu If they lose they’re out

Win. Or lose big. Them winning is easier imo bc I think BYU loses and TT plays hard to keep their first round bye

We want Bama to win. If Bama loses, they will drop them to 10 (still in) and bump ND back up to 9 to avoid a direct comparison between Miami and ND. The chair (clown) stressed how close Bama and ND were last night, they are setting up Bama to drop to 10 if they lose and ND to jump to 9 and stay in (or if BYU wins, they’ll keep Bama at 9 most likely and ND would be out). Our best chance is a Bama win and a BIG Texas Tech win.

When in reality this is just the SEC invitational. Of which-whether Miami is in or not I will be rooting for any team not in the SEC. Enough is enough and it would be incredible if they didn’t have a single team in the final 4 semis being how much they loaded the deck with a Lane-less Ole Miss, OU, A&M, and Bama. Aka a bunch of above average teams with a ton of flaws. This **** is absolutely criminal.

The whole ranking thing is a sham
They overrank SEC teams and keep em loaded in there
It should be you get credit for a ranked win if you payed and beat them when they were ranked!!!

That’s logic

It's more nefarious than that. They stacked the deck immediately going into the season. Top 25 Preseason: 10 SEC, BiG 6, ACC 3, Big 12 4, Mountain West 1, Independent 1.

TEN SEC schools. Any team in the SEC with 2 losses is going to outrank any team from another conference with 2 losses based on SoS, "quality" wins, and "quality" losses.

I'm not claiming to know a better system. I just know this one is heavily stacked towards the SEC and secondarily the BiG. If I were the ACC, I'd get together with the Big 12 and threaten to pull out of the CFP without rebalancing. Have our own "CFP" between our two conferences. And definitely pull out of the ND game or any H2H with SEC/BiG teams, since clearly H2H wins don't count for us, but they count for them.
