Kirt Herbstreit: I’m Done with Florida State

Took the words right out of my mouth, or fingertips in this case. I was commenting during the game when all of that chirping was going on as we were clearly pulling away. It's really a disgrace to a culture that Bobby Bowden created that made this rivalry so fantastic, it was all about football. They are at best, an undisciplined high school team mentally.

It’s faux bravado that has been around this program for some time as well. Remember when we stomped on Louisville’s logo at mid field then to be stomped out in the actual game? I think that was like ‘05. Numerous occasions since. Just bc the school has had some bad boys and great teams doesn’t mean you or your current team is. What separates those guys is their want to be great and actual execute and not settle for less.
Yesterday was a great win especially since we won by 3 scores but that FSU team is really bad.

I love UMiami grad (and Long Islander) Bear schooling the pride of Centerville HS and OSUck grad Herbstreit on Destiny vs. Fate "We've been through this before..."

We know who the brains of the operation are, even when zonked out!

He's 100% correct.

We can clown on Willie T...because he is a clown...but Kirk is right that the players are just ******* traaaaaaaaaaaaysh and there isn't much Willie can do about that. Just garbage players.

Tells me a lot about current recruits that we are looking at, that are committed to FSU...there are a few I'd love to pluck, but lots of those guys are willing to dive into that toxic cesspool and it says a lot about them.

It was the Bowden culture of "boys will be boys" that ended up rotting the program.

The hard work those guys put in to excel should get more play than the celebrating but it doesnt.

Yep, used to be that whenever we got in a pre-game scuffle, we got stomped during the actual game.

Walk the walk before you talk the talk.

****....that was very telling how Herbie straight up dissed FSwho in an unfiltered manner....he was sooo straight up about it and that Henny was the elixir.
He gets dissed sometimes here on board but he has always been objective and is actually a fan of The U. He talks about it sometimes and he even publicly stated on TV that the 2001 Canes are the greatest team of all time.

Maybe towards his later years, somewhat, but I don't recall his players ever being downright buffoons like Willie's boys. Bowden's teams had a lot more respect for him and the program than those morons in their secondary and whoever that WR who y'all said was supposed to light us up but didn't do **** except fight with Bandy (who won 90% of their reps, BTW). Herbie nailed it: they put their priorities towards picking fights to show toughness, not preparing to dominate your opponent between the end zones.
