Kirby Vs Richt a 17 year insight!

Im just curious why anyone expects Richt to do better here than he did at UGA?

Or are people satisfied with what UGA was? I sure aint....

Moco, we are much better than in the last decade, where have you been hiding?

UGA was often well respected and they weren’t a joke under Richt. We have been a joke for 15 years. Even if we settle for what UGA was, thank God. Guess you would have been happy when we ended up with Schiano?

All the guy was saying that Smart is a thinking man when on the sidelines and Richt is not. If you've watched the 2 years under Richt I'm totally amazed how inept he is. Wastes time outs, doesn't call time outs, lets the clock run out before half time without trYING to score, and let us not forget his bonehead decisions too (PLENTIFUL). I could care less if he's been coaching for 100 years, he not a smart head coach on the sidelines PERIOD!

Zero examples or references in this whole post. What a thinking man!

The onside kick against GT which was not only dumb but killed all our momentum in the beginning of the second half. The 4th and 18 at Duke in the second quarter with the ball on their approximate their 45 yard line instead of punting. As THE ANNOUNCERS said, 'that play made no sense at all." Of course we threw an incomplete pass and again killed our mojo. There are dozens more. Hey Kevin, watch the game and notice the things that Richt does that backfires on the team and makes ZERO SENSE.

Loved the onside kick call. Just hated that it was the worst executed one I’ve ever seen. If we got it you’d say differently. Bama won a championship with an onside kick in a similar situation. We also beat Duke 31-6 so the play you mentioned is way too irrelevant to have “stolen our mojo”

LOL Kevin since we won both games these calls were great. Well. we pulled a horseshoe out of our ***** to beat GT which could be described as a miracle game. Would you be saying it was a super call if we lost? **** no and my point is that there was NO REASON for that call or the Duke call. The score should have been 55-7 in the Duke game. In the GT game we seized ALL THE MOMENTUM in the second quarter leading to halftime. Richt blew all that mojo with one single call and that was STUPID because there was NO NEED to do it. The call at Duke was just as dumb.

Kirby was 7-6 last year and got his RB's to come back. Congrats to him.

But Georgia has a better culture. Straight up. This will offend some people, but it's fact.

The mentality around the Miami program, and around the South Florida football community at large since the Coker days, has just been straight entitled diva ****.

We think that just because a kid is from South Florida, or just because a kid has the "U" on the side of his helmet, that he's automatically superior to anybody else. We ALWAYS overrate our players, and we ALWAYS think we have better talent than any of the teams we play.

Nevermind that it took us a decade to win the Coastal, or that we haven't won **** since 2002 and this year has been our best year in a long *** time.... nah we're entitled to it. And when **** inevitably goes wrong, we always blame X's and O's. Coker, Shannon, Golden... all had talent, they were just dummies with X's and O's. Richt? Outdated offense, no motion, must be a problem with X's and O's once again. Could never be that the players just aren't that great. Lol.

The kids from Miami are too entitled, and they have egos that don't match their production. Point blank. They're not as good as they think they are. And that's the fault of the coaches, the handlers, the families, the friends, and the community at large who thinks that just because the Canes dominated 30 years ago, that somehow these players today don't have to work for it.

Yeah, you get one or two kids like Jaquan Johnson who have that old school Canes mentality and work ethic and who are willing to do what it takes, but kids like him are too few and far between.

Too few and far between.

None of that would be a problem, except for when you don't feel like you have to put in the time to get results. Do you think this team took Wisconsin seriously? Do you think they have the hunger or the attitude of a UCF? Maybe for the Notre Dame game, that's it.

It's something that needs to change. And it's bigger than just the coach. People in this community need to stop stroking these kids ego's, and stop giving these kids credit for **** that happened before they were even born.

EARN RESPECT.

As is normal business on this blog another post tearing down some aspect of the Cane's football program. In the world of moronic comparisons and cheap shots that verbal diarrhea is the Blue Ribbon Winner at the Imbecile County Fair. Congratulations!

On this blog...

IF YOU AIN'T HATING--YOU AIN'T TRYING!

You TRULY do not have one iota of a clue as to what you are TRYING to talk about. Mark Richt has been a God send for the Miami Hurricanes and people who do know football would laugh out loud at your screwball comments. I get it! People such as yourself believe that by always slathering hate on the Canes others will think you are smart, in the know and a football guru. Sadly, you are none of those things! But, what you are is a hate merchant with an ego driven agenda.

I been saying this for ages man even in my last video its like talking to death people or writing to blind people, if one of our players does marginally good in the nfl hes a stud instantly but in a year the kid is never heard from again. I remember dudes calling duke a once in a lifetime talent and will destroy everyone in the nfl and Im like hes good but NFL good is different u need explosion and speed to be a true impact player. Butch recruited a different breed period

Exactly.

I remember dudes on CaneSport were comparing Duke to Barry Sanders and Reggie Bush. That was when he was in high school.

Now Duke was one of the good ones that never let it get to his head. He always worked hard, and he produced in college. So i'm not hating on Duke in any way. But talking that **** is just ignorant. Dude was in high school, hadn't done **** yet, and folks were saying he's Barry Sanders.

That kind of false hype destroys kids that don't have their heads screwed on straight. Like Marcus Forston or Aldarius "glue hands" Johnson. Kids were told all their lives that they're the greatest, never thought they had to work for it, and they let their god-given talents go by the wayside.

You remember Jimmy’s Training Camps, don’t you?

That’s what turned Michael Irvin into the Playmaker and Jerome Brown into the beast that he was. Even made Dan Sileo a brutal DT.

Jimmy, as well as Howard, ran disciplined sweat shops. He would cut you in a heartbeat if you weren’t producing. Straight up savage. There was no entitlement. That’s how the Canes came within an ace of winning three straight Nattys. Disciplined work effort. Nothing else.

Jimmy Johnson turned high school boys into men.

I think Richt is doing this but there’s too much ice cream break leftover from the Golden Age, imho. That needs to be weeded out. And to be honest, I’m not sure that Richt has Jimmy’s savagery. Time will tell.

But this Prime Donna stuff has to go.

If you want to see what coaching looks like you saw it tonight in the rose bowl. Our offensive play calling was complete *** in the first half. No idea wtf we were thinking. 182 yards rushing on only 11 carries and we make our true freshmen throw 17 passes when he rarely throws 17 times in an entire game................AND we certainly were never forced to throw because our run got stopped. The ONLY time Uga got stopped was when we called cute passing plays. To top that off we did the exact opposite defensively of what got us to this game. We played soft zone and put no pressure on Mayfield, the only guaranteed passer in college football that will burn you if you give him time and play zone.

BUT

Watch what Kirby did right before half time. He used his time outs to slow Oklahoma down. Give the defense a big breather, and get under their teams skin. Granted their trick play still got in.........but kirby was involved and understood that he could do something/anything to disrupt the other team. It almost worked. Go look at what Richt did with his time outs right before half. Not a **** thing. He had horrible clock management at UGA. Once inside the 30 wisconsin was not concerned one bit about the clock so why in the world does Richt not use those timeouts? He wasnt gonna need them with wisconsin beyond the 20 and still in possession. I will tell ya why. It never came to him.

This was one of the first times as a Dawg fan I went into a half time down big still feeling like our coach would get it figured out. Richt would coach us out of leads all the time after half time. Not to mention his last minute losses were massive compared to his last minute wins.

I was thrilled to see Richt going for it this year at the end of games, something he rarely did at Uga. So its not all bad. But man those last 3 games I swear you could have put a big ole G on the side of those helmets and I never would have known the difference. Here is wishing you guys better luck with him than he brought us. Its one excuse after another with why he couldnt win the big one........Kirby hasnt blamed anyone but himself.

Awesome post bro.
Say hi to your two butt-boys who upvoted you as well.

After watching that game tonight, it looks like this is just a Georgia issue. This post aged very well.

What a great game plan Kirby had. He won his boss another title while keeping us entertained the entire time.
