Kirby Smart is a Corch

Umm so...

> so guy who makes the title game in year 2 and loses to the greatest college HC of all time is a corch but...
> guy who never made the title game in 17 years at HC and lost the last 3 remaining games this year is a what then?

What is a corch cuz y'all confusing me now.

Coach A built the roster that Coach B got. Lets see what Coach B looks like next year, okay?

I’d be willing to put real money that Kirby Smart is not putting UGA in this position again. This is as much talent as he’s going to have at one time within the next 3-4 years. Any takers?

Look at the recruiting classes though..

You have to be able to develop the talent. The main guys off that team were Richt's guys with the exception of Hardman (recruited by Richt though) and Fromm.

I’m not sure the tying TD pass was intended for Ridley. Another Bama WR was crossing from the other direction at the back of the end zone. Ridley was hidden behind one of the DBs, so it’s possible that the QB never saw him. Ridley made a superb play by grabbing that bullet on the run because the other WR was covered. The DB in front of Ridley nearly batted the ball, making the catch even more remarkable. On the whole, Bama was lucky on that play.

I’m still glad UGA lost. So far, Smart isn’t any better against Saban than Richt was. The power and depth both teams have on the OL and front-7 defenders show the difference between them and UM.

Pass was to Ridley all the way. The throw was in anticipation and trust
That he would get to ba as he’s your best WR. The angle makes it seems like that DB was closer than he was.
That QB is the goods and with their talent in every aspect unfortunately they will be lighting up score boards along with that stout defense. It’s possible they could field a team with him at QB to rival to statiscial dominance of our 01’ Team.

You need to relaxxxx..lol chill with the hot takes.

Look I hate Bama but if you’ve seen that kid play going back to HS and watch what he did to UGA tonight on nothing
More than practice reps and no real game plan. I don’t want to think about what they will do when he is the guy.

That is why Miami needs to be back ASAP I was telling my out of state friend during the game could you imagine Miami with Both Ridleys, Michel, Jeudy and a bunch of other guys I’m sure i’m Forgetting the are from down here. It’s the only way to deplete their talent to normal levels.

hes basically been the guy and they were quite aware he was the better passer. I was at their first home game THIS YEAR and everyone was asking for him to play they cared less about Hurts

From the looks of it even Hurts knew the Hawaiian was better.

Well, the Hawaiian kid has become the new Gold Standard in quarterbacking this morning.

Just to let you know, if things go as planned, that’s the kid Diaz will have to face in a Natty Either next year or the year after.

Georgia ****ed away its big opportunity. Clemson is our big roadblock next year. Let’s see what CMR can do with a real QB.

Jerry Jeudy had some incomplete passes last night.

And yes, Kirby is a corch. Lame Kitty would have won that game for the Dawgs.

I'm with the guy that said the TD pass that tied the game was meant for the other WR (#22). That pass "led" that guy as well, and from the QB's point of view, he was actually able to see him. On top of that, if it was for him, they would have had to call PI because the georgia defender hit him early.

That one is going to hurt for along time.
From a Georgia perspective, they may never recover. I'm serious. That's some Atlanta Falcons blowing a 28-3 Super Bowl lead ish. A chance like that comes around maybe once every 30 years for that program.

So he took his team to a NC game in his 2nd year and nearly won the game. And he's a corch? What a joke. I'd have easily taken UGA's season over the year we had.

Richt never once went to a NC game at UGA. Although he probably would have gone in 2002 had we lost the FSU game, or OSU had lost one of their 1,000 close games.

Choked...UGA fires Richt BUT are still no further than they were when they fired him. Now he’s losing a lot of Richt’s players...they’re going 9-3 next year, they’re not going to be able to replace Sony and Nick.

UGA had a better season this year than they ever had in 15 years under Richt. With the possible exception of 2002.

You can say that Smart made some questionable coaching decisions in the 2nd half. That's a plenty reasonable argument. But that doesn't make him a corch.

Oh God so Richt is responsible for Smart's success? Yeah since Richt went to OT against Georgia Southern his last year at UGA, and had one of the most awful 3 loss seasons ever. Meanwhile Smart goes to OT in the NC game against an all time top 5 coach.

Kirby is on Jimbo and maybe Dabo's tier. So he will have UGA in it consistently but he's not going on an Alabama type of run which is what he is trying to build. He's a good coach that needs a significant talent advantage to win.

Lets not forget, he lost to the two best teams in the SEC this year. He had more talent vs Auburn and probably equal if not more talent than Bama.

He's probably on Jimbo's tier although I don't think he's as good as Dabo. 2 years is enough time to get an early judgement on a coach, although it can take anywhere from 3-5 years for a final verdict to be made.

He's a corch he did what any corch is suppose to be with a loaded roster and soft sch.

Is going to OT against an FCS team what you're supposed to do against a soft schedule? Ala Richt in 2015?

And UGA had the 6th toughest schedule in CFB according to Sagarin. How is that a soft schedule?

Kirby is better than Dabo and Jimbo, comparing his 2nd season to both of them.

We'll see if he continues to trend the same direction, or falls off .

But I don't consider him corch material at all. I think he's gonna have UGA in the hunt for the next decade.

Losing that game, as cliche as it is, might have been the best thing for him. Might make him hungrier, knowing they were that close ...

Guy just played for a National Title in his 2nd year, and is following it up with a #1 recruiting class, but he's a corch. LOL

I love this site.

Richt did not leave a roster behind that was remotely comparable to what Butch Davis left behind for 2001. That comparison is a joke. Crediting Richt for this year's UGA team is like crediting John Cooper for Ohio State's (sort of) national championship in 2002.

How can you deny that dude inherited a stacked team?

Same thing with Gruden and the Bucs, Marc Jackson and Warriors.

Credit to UGA football ppl to realize they had a stacked roster and could make a run early with Kirby to build his credability.
