Kirby out for season.

Medical redshirt? He will miss more than half the games technically...

He's played in 6 games. No medical waiver for him.

The student-athlete must not have competed in more than 30% of the season or three contests, whichever is greater.

I guess this is where he'll fail to meet criteria for sure.

Does it count as a game if you play Bethune Cookman and FAU? Maybe that can be considered practice.

Why is Trent Harris going to replace him instead of young

After Young looked after coming in for Kirby how he isn't the starter is a pure Golden move. Dude had at least 1 tfl, was always around the ball, and an interception. Yup put him on the bench!

This. I have a dream that one day posters will understand the definition of redshirt and medical hardship.

If there ever was a rule in need of a modernization..... 3 games....lmfao.

It's actually 4. The 30% of the schedule is always rounded up. 30% of 12 = 3.6 rounded up to 4.

If harris really is replacing kirby then maybe we see aqm alot more?

Does anyone know what the injury was specifically?

Praying for a speedy recovery for the young man, and I wish him the best.

Question for the x's and o's experts; do you think this injury will force the coaching staff to play mostly, if not totally, in the 4-3? What are your thoughts on this?

Damned dirty shame this is what it takes for some of the better players to get on the field. The moment he plays well, Golden inevitably point to him buying into the system and trusting their coaching.
