I think they're on par. Mauigoa may be slightly better in pass coverage, which isn't saying a lot. He has the huge advantage of a DC who teaches his DL to have gap responsibility. And he is getting better coaching by Nicholson than Shaq received from Diaz/Baker/Patke.

I'm not knocking Kiko at all, btw, am ecstatic we have him. Just feel people under-appreciate Shaq and what he had to overcome as a Cane.

I’m not sure “solid” is a sufficient adjective for literally the best LB in college football against the run. There are a lot of LB’s in college football.
