Famous last words here but this continues to look better and better, and I think the main point for me is Clemson has been extremely dry all week, and will continue to be all the way up until Saturday, where we *might* see some rain. But the field should be more than fine, it's not like it's going to be dumping for hours and hours before the game and it'll be a waterlogged surface. It couldn't be more bone dry right now, so to me, worst case (again, famous last words and it's weather, so if I'm wrong, shoot me) is we have a completely dry surface until right before kickoff, and then we get some light to moderate rain into and through the game.
I just don't see a scenario where the field is soup. It should be a nice surface and there's actually a decent chance we see either no rain or very little until after the game (less than a quarter inch?). Shaping up to be a fast track and no issues at all, possibly, with a worst-case scenario something like Notre Dame last year where it's raining, but it's not absolutely dumping and the field will be fine.
Would be very nice for our passing game.
