Ezzard? Idk man

You never know he could be the next Josh Cribbs. I voted Ezzard because I enjoy watching him with the ball and the poll question asks "who do you want to see" not "who is the best".

I'd generally prefer to not have two guys from the same position group for risk management purposes, but the WR room is so deep, my vote is Thomas and Pope. More concerned about PR. Berrios wasn't a stud at bringing them back, but I can't recall him ever botching a PR.

My theory & process when it comes to selecting returners is give the elite non starters 1st crack.

At KOR, Pope & Gilbert are my 1st 2 up. Thomas 3rd, goes in but only in dire or special situations; ie raining, close game or maybe Thomas or DJ is hot.

Thomas, Cager & Richards are going to get most of the reps at WR. Let Pope get extra work in the return game. Pope has elite game breaker ability & can shake. Gilbert HS film was very impressive at KR(3 returned TDs). His size & speed combination is impressive.

Dj has the toughness, hands, quickness, shakes & burst for PR. He should the primary guy there. Dj has good speed but only for 40-60 yard runs. I can’t see him taking a KO 80 plus vs a quality ACC team.

Don't sleep on Nigel Bethel. He is a return specialist. On signing day, our coaches talked about his abilities as a return man just as much as they talked about him beimg a cornerback. Hartley said that he is going to make an immediate impact as a returner.

Would love to see a DeeJay, Jeff Thomas combo back there

But in truth, we've got so many good options back there who could star that it's ridiculous.

Hard to go wrong with whoever is chosen IF WE BLOCK even if it's just for a little while

Until the blocking gets figured out I'd like to see larger guys like DJ back there. I don't need to see Thomas get flat blasted and take **** near a full season to get his confidence back like coley a few years ago.

That's a good call.

Blocking on kickoff & punt returns isn't some complicated, unprefected science. It's pretty basic stuff - most teams do it similarly. Ours was brutal. I hope they bring someone in to work with Hartley this summer

No LinGAWD option, therefore, poll is invalid.

He was my first thought. It’s a way to get him an extra couple of touches a game. With Homer and D.J. at RB with him, carries may be limited to start the year.

He has vision, big, and runs like a gazelle. No arm tackles are going to bring him down.

Edit: Think Gurley at UGA

With his speed in the 100m and 110 hurdles, I had someone else in mind.

FWIW, it seems the admissions standards at Bama hasn't changed a whole lot over the years.
